  1. Yeah, I read the bit on the lodz website. Looking at last year's meeting on YouTube, it looked like it was pretty much sold out.
  2. Thanks R&R. I was aware it was a reserved date but didn't know about the meeting at Lodz. That's probably a good bet as it's just over an hour away.
  3. The IMP and DMPJ qualifiers are listed as on the Thursday and Sunday. Any idea of when the venues are likely to be announced as will be flying out Thursday morning and home Monday.
  4. It's on supersports > motorsport channel with kelvin commentating, as is tomorrow's GP
  5. It's on supersports > motorsport channel for anyone who has access to that.
  6. Smaller old town, but very much on a par with Krakow and Wroclaw

  8. That's what we'll do but would have been nice to cheer them on at the track. The racing at Tarnow definitely isn't worth the trip... they don't even let you take your beer out of the bar!
  9. Could they not find a track any further away from Torun to stage it?
  10. Yeah, very. Book seats online before you go, then get the train from the airport to Gdansk Glowny (main train station). The bus station is directly behind it, literally a 1 minute walk. Car hire is also not that expensive and it's one motorway between Gdansk and Torun. That's what we're doing.
  11. Flix Bus (formerly Polskibus) do a direct bus from Gdansk to Torun several times a day, from about a fiver each way. Sometimes quicker than the train, as on some trains you have to change at Bydgoszcz.
  12. Capacity wise, Bradford would be the obvious choice for a second GP. Unviable as a league track nowadays, as an 800 crowd would be pitiful in a stadium of that size, but would work for GP's, SON etc.
  13. So who gets next year's wildcard, the winner of the re-staging or next year's winner? Someone is still going to miss out. 2005 world U21 final was decided on the toss of a coin after Kasprzak and Suchanek had tied on points but hadn't met each other, and that was to decide a world champion!
  14. Anyone with an IPTV sub can apparently get it on Aus Fox Sports 506 NZ Sky Sports 5

    And looked very quick too!
  16. 20-18-16-14 in the final, all other points as scored in the 20 heats. That way if you score 8 from your first 3 rides you can't settle for a couple of thirds knowing you'll be through to the semi's, just in case you don't make the final.

    Redcar v Poole 13/5/22

Warm weather and strong winds all afternoon meant the track was drying out as fast as they could get water into it.
  18. What difference does that make? He is eligible to ride for any championship team
  19. Leicester found a guest for last night with only a few hours notice.....
  20. A good chunk of this will be offset by the tenner a head (£18 in the case of those who don't return) they've taken from the fans with only 2 races of wages to pay for. A short term fix but it will only come back to bite them with smaller future crowds when fans walk away from the sport feeling they've been ripped off again, which they have. Anything other than free admission to a future meeting will be a PR disaster for them. I'm sure this is what the better run teams with forward thinking promoters would be doing.
  21. Out for the rest of the season with a grazed knee would be my guess.

Absolutely, we'll have Tom Wooley on an 11 point average and reserves who can't even slide a bike. And Mildenhall complaining they can't pay their accross the board £5 a point on a crowd of 50 people. But what do we know...

You are correct in as much as if there is a shortage of riders of a sufficient standard to fill the spaces, then that is a valid reason to adjust the average. But then the average should go back to 42, if possible, the following season. By putting it up for an over supply of riders, fine if all the teams can afford it, but it potentially brings other problems with it, such as we're currently seeing with very little difference between the PL/CL

The limit in every league should always be 42 by default, unless they have a reason to change it, such as wanting to weaken it, as in the case of the NL. By knocking it down to 36(?) They have achieved this, but to retain the league at that standard it needs to go back to 42 the following season. If they keep it at 36 for several seasons, they are weakening it further every year til it gets to the point where teams will be full of woblers. Then they'll wonder why people won't pay £12 to watch stand alone meetings anymore.
