Have just watched tonight's GP and have to agree Gavan. Good track, quickly developed quite a few lines, some great races and a final befitting a GP final with all 4 still potentially in the mix going into the final lap. That was entertainment. Only downside was the accident that saw Nicki out of the meeting but that was just a misjudgement on a fast track I of. How Zagar and Pedersen were able to walk back after it heaven knows but relieved they did.

I think you'll find some of us -quite a few of us actually- were trying to point out last season that he was a decent raw talent and should be judged as a long term prospect we were taking the initial average hit for but we were constantly shot down by the short sighted 'he's not a number one' brigade. He is now proving to them exactly why short term pain long term gain can be a worthwhile strategy but the majority of those who slated him are remarkably quiet about it now..... It was obvious he was never going to be another of omalley/pen fold etc but he was repeatedly tagged that way. Just as well he had belief in his own ability and didn't lose confidence

Something sticks in my mind (so is probably wrong!) that this used to be the case but it was a situation with Glasgow that changed it! There was a rider rode in either the pairs or 4s ( Craig Watson perhaps? ) representing Tigers but he had not ridden in any previous Glasgow meeting and it was deemed unfair to clubs who missed out on qualication

Well Redcar fans have been saying that entertainment has been lacking at home this year, Dmitri is as good a chance as you have of changing that. Thrilling to watch, never gives up, yeah a bit raw but hey it adds to the excitement. Good luck to the Bears and Dimitri with this move, it's been sad to see Redcar becoming lack lustre and hopefully this is the start of a change in entertainment value for you guys

Think this sums it up nicely sharpenrake - Blackadder gave an opinion and stated he couldn't back it up....not that he knew and was in the know and everyone else was talking rubbish then refusing to back it up. It's a situation Mr Manse seems to have created a few times now as well as the last time I asked him to back up this sort of claim he came away with exactly what we have here. Baba that answers why he should spill the beans too....he is the one claiming to be in the know as opposed to giving opinion I've said it before and not just with Manse. If you are not willing to back your 'I know the truth and you don't' claims up they are nothing more than opinion and you have no right to belittle others opinion by basically claiming self importance. As for protecting sources, if someone tells you something in confidence you are already breaching that confidence by making reference to it in the first place. Now I believe there is a speedway meeting due to break out tonight....be nice to get back to the actual meeting rather than 'I know something you don't know'

The old 'I am right, everyone else is wrong and you are all expected to believe every word I say but I will correct everyone else without justification ' attitude. I feel it's the whole rule book needs re writing as there are a good number of phrases in it open to dubiety. This is the third time I think this season something has come up. You are right though, the rules should be succinct, easily interpreted and the same for all....in an ideal world!

My feeling is that a few of them prefer it that way and feel that part of the challenge of being a successful promoter is finding and exploiting the loop holes fans are just expected to lump it. Many promotions and their hangers on still have to wake up to the Internet revolution and realise the days of fans just lumping it because they have no place to air their views are gone
