  1. Most of the field ive never heard of but I think Lewis should qualify as he has more experience on the smaller tracks then the Poles etc.
  2. Im suprised he hasn't even been dropped from squad after Wednesday night
  3. Exactly 'Last Year', not only is he more experienced with EL meetings under his belt and being a heat leader in the top flight but is also on better equipment. Tai may know his way round the place, I just cant see him beating Chris.
  4. If there are any Poole fans going with a space in their car, im happy to pay for fuel to go with them
  5. Your having a laugh, Holder will walk this meeting, none of the opposition are at his level yet.
  6. Oh dear, I hope the place aint gonna be fully of Buzzing Bees fans Ah well if it is, im one pirate fan to spoil it
  7. Ordered mine today, middle tier, M30, row 6 Inline with the start line wooo, cant wait now
  8. Will the link on page one be showing the GP Live??
  9. Nah your right mate, I did want to meet up with you, but was warned Shirleys bite
  10. Yes I agree, at only 17 yrs old, im sure he'll be making the step up to PL reserve next season for sure if tonights score and performance is anything to go by. IMO as with the qualifiers, I felt only Bridger had the chance to beat Tai in the final but it seems he didnt gate and blew his chance by crashing out (missed both Semi and Final, due to having to catch train to make sure I got home tonight, so only going by the updates). For the 20 heats I saw tonight, very good racing imo, in the first couple of heats some had to get use to the track but once they sussed it, most had it wound on round there.
  11. QUOTE (Rob B @ Apr 5 2008, 09:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just got back from a waste of a day and money. What a farce, first of all what the hell were Kings Lynn track staff doing watering the track half an hour before the start when the sky was black in the background, it was so obvious it was going to rain. Track was obviously wet but I don't think it would have been too bad aftere Buster graded it, first 4 heats would have been a bit dodgy but then the track would have sorted itself out. What we couldn't understand is why they called it off so quickly when it started raining again and it only lasted for a minute at the most. I know for a fact that Belle Vue pair of Jason Crump and Charlie Gjedde were more then willing to ride, whilst negotiations were going on Jason Crump had actually gone to the spares van to buy some extra tear offs and couldn't believe it when he came back and that it had been called off! The referee was bullied by just a couple of riders to call it off. I agree, and probally being in the band of 'furthest travelled fans' feel just as robbed as you were of this. Couldnt even get money back on night if required which is a joke and have to write to BSPA instead. Jeez how long could that take someone. Lucky for me I can re use them at localler Super 7 meetings, which is fine for me, but disappointing for others who have to wait ages to see there money again. Ah well after 4 posts of reaction to the meeting, myself on the night was happy as met up with a friend for the 1st time and she was the beaming light on a dull April night. See you again friend in the summer
  12. Easy for someone living up the road, who probally got in for free anyway to say isnt it. With work that track was rideable, just the riders hadn't the patience to wait, obviously having somewere more important to be that night/next day (Wife maybe who knows) but certainly didnt give enough time for anyone to have a good view of the situation.
  13. I agree, it is stuff like this that puts me off watching the EL now. Im even planning on making more visits to the NA as it is a great track (rode it a few times and love the place) and whilst in the PL wont have mega-ego'd riders thinking they have control of whether a meeting should be on or not. Some should remember it is us who keep them in a job and if they carry on making us out to be mugs after travelling far and wide to see this meeting, their be shocked when these evens barely get crowds and have the plug pulled on them due to poor turn outs.
  14. Totally correct Steve. Me and my Dad came all the way from Poole (around £50 each on the train) paid our admission fee for the most expensive of the Super Seven events, we have a shower for 15/20mins at most (we stood in it for most of that) after it stops the usuall suspects moan and it gets called off. Due to the way we travelled we had to stay over night and at no time that evening did it rain again. The track had no standing water on it as all had gone to the inside and all the surface needed was some attention from the track staff to make it rideable. With it out in the sticks, most if not all would of been happy to wait till 9pm for it to start so long as it was on (stood around Eastbourne and BV fans so loads from distance come for this one, even redcar fans were there) but instead once the pre-madonnas moaned (wont name names as it is the usuall suspects from that ELRC at Poole) it was abandoned ammediatly. I feel sorry who had to fit the bill for the big screen and lighting that was hired for the event as they are not out of pocket. Thankfully I have been told, I can use the tickets for other Super 7 events, so plan to make good use of them elsewhere (Arena and Swindon are the likely places).
  15. AFAIK its done on averages, so unless Troy is unavailable or injured Moose wouldnt be able to replace him.
  16. It maybe at KL, but Troy is no number 2. He'll be lucky to score many if any points against most of the other number 2's.
  17. Might just make this one, will be good to go see some top notch racing at the NA, having only seen conference league there.
  18. If you can detour via Dorset, i'll take them
  19. £15??? Whats the meeting format then?? 15/18/20 heats????
  20. Any news on price of admission Vince?? As me and my dad plan to make the trip from Dorset up to Newport to see the New Year Classic for the 1st time.
  21. If he has booked in for the restuarant, im sure I read you need to book a table for 8/10 people minimal so that would be why its so much.
  22. Theres nowt wrong with the viewing on the 1st/2nd bend even if packed out, ive never had problems with seeing races. Obviously more of a problem on the 3rd/4th but maybe more reason for M&M to bring back the Temp Stand for 1 meeting.
  23. And why should we celebrate 60 years of Poole Speedway at a track miles away from Wimborne Road??
  24. Is flying a problem being a Heavyweight then??
