Individual Manipulation Of Averages

No one is going to tell you two to get a room as you wouldn't be able to choose a room. I went to glasgow this year and it's amazing what has happened there. It felt like the sport had a future!! -
I'm still here...

Where Is British Speedway Going.

Hard to judge crowds at foxhall now from the past as the grandstands take people off the terraces. The number of cars would suggest it was a big crowd. -

I saw that too. I'm guessing that Holder got in touch pretty quick to tell him to delete... I wonder if anyone took screenshots as nobody will believe you Jules!! -

Sat in the new stand on the third bend for the first time and Bash has called this correctly. He did come off the throttle as he went into the third bend and waited for his target. He absolutely nailed him. In a very nasty way it was kind of impressive, but you don't want to see people hurt. Not impressed by Ben saying he will get him back either, but I I can understand it. It was a really low blow, vindictive and premeditated. -

I'm sure that many others would buy season tickets if this was the case. Most people if they can go on holiday in the summer and this makes a season ticket poor value. If you could lend it out then more would consider it. I know people would say that regulars would swop tickets as and when they were away and sure this would happen, but you would get loads more money up front and you would get loads more money of fans like me. People that love speedway, but hate the cold on the heath. There must be loads of meetings that take place that I miss due to the weather, each one is a buy lost. -
So sorry for the Mildenhall fans. It would seem that the potential promoter has been treated differently to other potential promoters and indeed other, past new promoters. I don't know steve ribbons, but I'd assume that he has incurred some costs thus far. Mr Jolly certainly has on a completely wasted journey to rugby alone...

The new layout looks superb.

I always thought that this was the one track that olsen couldn't ruin. I was wrong. -
I'm guessing that this a bad thing to be!! Ignorance can be bliss!!

Backtrack is a fantastic magazine. I"m not old enough to know the era personally. However the history of the sport intrigues me. More stuff about defunct tracks would be great. I don't want the quizes back, I can't answer any of them. I subscribe to backtrack to learn stuff, not to be tested on stuff that was before my time. Keep up the good work Tony. Every two months your magazine brightens up my day and makes my girlfriend roll her eyes and say something derogatory to me. It normally ends with the word nerd or geek after something along the lines of "what did I ever see in you" type statement. In the two months between issues we get on just fine.

That would be because he is in front of a monitor. He can only see what we can see, except that actually isn't true. There's a TV screen in the same room as him somewhere. If they had gone to prague you can be sure that SJ would have been talking about it. -
He was so small he had trouble handling the bike. He had a smaller one made for him whilst at Yarmouth and suddenly he was a heat leader.

Final Gp, From Germany

Hopefully the stadium will have learn't from their first speedway meeting. They applied football security to speedway fans and they weren't expecting 95% of them to be there at five when the gates opened. Unlike Cardiff there are no bars anywhere near the stadium so of course everyone wanted to go in and find a beer. It took us an hour and a half to get in. I was chuffed to see that there was nobody in line for beer, until I was redirected to a tiny kiosk surrounded by a mob of euro waving poles, all trying to get cards. The stadium was fantastic, the track was crap, but we did have a blinding couple of nights in dusseldorf. -
He was 25 years old and died after a crash whilst practising. which explains the november date. It was at the alexander stadium, perry bar.

Louis does want to ride in the WC. I don't understand why he isn't in the team, but then I would pick the team based on recent form. Middlo must use different criteria.

Championship Of Gb
Bailays Hat replied to shazzybird's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Who has decided the line up for this meeting? We should be told. If it's down to one incompetent/bitter individual then I can understand it as we all make glaring errors for all sorts of reasons. However if it's down to the BSPA management then I would be staggered. One incompetent person yes, but a whole group of them? How unlucky is that? I'm not that clever, but for what it's worth, if I was God, I would get the top 16 British riders to ride. The winner could claim to be the champion and I'd call it the Championship of Great Britain. It sounds so simplistic, but I do realise how hard it must be to decide who those top 16 are. All that responsibility must weigh so heavily on one individual or his band of brothers. I'm sure this idea will fall on deaf ears, but how about inviting the top 16 british riders based on their average scores so far this season? Controversial I know, but hear me out if you can be arsed. The top 16 averageing British elite league riders will compete.. Oh hang on there isn't enough of them. All British elite league riders will compete along with the top averageing premier league riders up to the number 16. What do you think? Am I an idiot? -
I used to work in customer services for a public company, as a result I got threatened in writing and over the phone. Not that often, as naturally I was better at the job than most of my colleagues . I shrugged a particularly abusive threat off with my normal laid back attitude, but as I have a reasonably rare second name a brick went through my parents window. I didn't live there, but the phone book showed that as the only second name listed in the town. The police linked it to my job and he went to jail, he had a long list of similar "crimes against the establishment". So if I was a speedway rider and someone threatened me with a breezeblock I would indeed be concerned. There are some strange people out there.
