You really believe that it will be re-staged?!

So then over two days after the meeting was cancelled and there is still no official word on where and when the meeting will be re-staged or indeed if it will be re-staged at all. I think that says it all about both the unimportance of this meeting and how unorganised and unproffesional the speedway authorities are.

I would rather go back to the old tactical substitute rule. At least there was something 'tactical' about that!

The idea of the riders keeping their points from the qualifying heats is good. However as the organisers are determined to use the placings from the final to decide the podium then the points system just needs to be slightly altered. Riders in the final should get 25, 20, 18 or 16 points depending on their position. All other riders can keep their points from their qualifying rides along with their semi final point if they got one. At least that way we could avoid the farcical situation of a rider who didn't even make the final scoring more points than the rider who finished 'second.'

Very enjoyable evening with some great racing. Shame that a few of the teams were very weak though. Also felt sorry for Greg having his start messed up by the start marshall in the final.

I'll be going along Wednesday night then. At least I won't have to pay the booking fee either by doing it this way. Good idea I reckon.

Another embarrasment for speedway!! Unbelievable that the authorities have come up with a rule whereby the 'winner' of a gp will not necessarily score the most points for that round!

As expected then really; still think PK is unlucky to not get in though. Must just be his age that counted against him.

As definite as a speedway start time gets.

I'll be setting off for Cardiff early in the morning. Can't wait!

Thought it was an really good gp topped off with an excellent final. Felt a bit sorry for Adams but you could hardly say that Crumpie hasn't had his fair share of bad luck at crucial times over the years. Hampel was very dissappointing tonight but Gollob looked much better after his first two rides. Hopefully he can keep that up for the rest of the series.

I would love you to be right but I think Tomasz will have his usual moments of genius mixed with moments when he doesn't look like one of the top riders in the world at all.

Would love to see Gollob win it but obviously that isn't going to happen. I think Hampel can have a good season and finish in the top four. Hard to look any further than Rickardsson, Crump and N. Pedersen for a top three though. Still think it's wrong that Hans Andersen is not in there.
