    World Under21s Meeting

Anyone know why Kyle Newman has replaced Lewis Bridger in Gorican ?

    Polish Ekstraliga Sun 16 May

Just curious Mateusz, but from the Bydgoszcz vs Leszno meeting surely only Pavlic would have been scheduled to ride tomorrow ? Who makes the decision in Poland to cancel a E-Liga meeting when just 1 rider will be absent ? I'm not being critical, I'm just curious as to how and why the decision has been made.
  3. So I take it you wont be entering a team Bannakaffalatta ? EDIT : PMs sent to all 4 mods in the hope that an explanation maybe forthcoming. My second attempt at having a separate thread for Round 3 captain nominations has just been deleted by someone so this is my last chance in trying to resolve this matter.
  4. Because having individual threads for captain nominations for each round allows the software that calculates all the scores to automatically update after each round. By merging them together it means I have no easy identifable 'first' post for each round, and as such I have to manually search the thread. I would not have spent hours writing the code for the game last season to just jack it all in after 2 rounds this year. All I'm asking for is for the mods to respect my request that we have an individual thread for each round. This was made quite clear in the rules of the game outlined in post #1.
  5. In reply to bazaar3, I am still waiting for an explanation from a moderator (4 days after initially requested) why my threads keep being merged together. Unless a mod can accept my reasons for requiring separate threads for each rounds captain nominations then sorry guys, I don't have the energy to keep arguing nor indeed to keep running the game.
  6. Ok, despite a specific request that the Round 3 thread for captain nominations not be merged into this main thread it has been done so, and the specific request has been deleted !! So with immediate effect DO NOT submit any captains on this thread or any other until I receive a full explanation from the moderator what is going on ! What is the point in me putting my time and effort into running this competition when mods cannot even follow a specific request ?
  7. Scores after Round 2 will be available tomorrow or Friday. Round 3 - Czech Grand Prix - Marketa Stadium, Prague -22nd May 2010 Please nominate your captains for Round 3, or enter a new team if you are not already playing, on this thread only, by no later than 6pm BST on Saturday 22nd May 2010 The wild card for the GP is Matěj Kůs.

  9. Tickets have today gone on sale for the Croatian SGP at the end of August, here. A reminder to any interested parties, we are running a coach from Slovenia, passing through Zagreb, so should anyone wish to travel to Gorican by coach and save on hiring a car please feel free to drop me a PM. We still have room on our 3 day trip, flying into and staying in Slovenia, so if people wish to spend time in the company of fellow Speedway fans, again please feel free to PM me.
  10. Could the mod that has merged the two threads for the 2010 Grand Prix Competition please PM me to explain WHY ??? This now causes me real headache in compliling the Round 2 captain nominations ! I deliberately created a separate thread for Round 2 captain nominations and was going to create a seperate thread for each SGP as this assists me greatly when populating my spreadsheet. This was made perfectly clear in the rules set out in post #1.
  11. Scores for Round 1 are here Round 2 - Swedish Grand Prix - Ullevi, Gothenburg - 8th May 2010 Please nominate your captains for Round 2, or enter a new team if you are not already playing, on this thread only, by no later than 6pm BST on Saturday 8th May 2010 The wild card for the GP is Antonio Lindbäck
  12. An excellent GP last night, spoiled however yet again by Sky Sports taking the 16:9 feed to squashing it to 4:3.

Unless anyone has any objections, I propose we run to pretty much the same rules as last year, with every entrant getting £190,000 (reduced due to credit crunch and in £ to please Ron Butler ) to spend on 5 riders for their team. Each rider will then score their G.P points - Plus a bonus 5 points if they win the G.P - However you can select a captain, who will get you double points for every meeting that they are captain in. You will only be able to change your teams in the official transfer windows, which will be between the Copenhagen and Cardiff G.P's, and then between then between the Vojens and Krsko G.P's. However you can change your captain every round if you so desire. Wild card for the Prague GP is Matej Kus Entries for each round to be posted on this thread by noon BST on the day of the GP, entrants shall keep the same 5 riders (and captain) should no posting be made. Finally, I am happy to sponsor this competition with some prizes as follows 1st : 2009 Super 7even Series DVD box set, plus 2009 GP Challenge DVD 2nd : 2009 Grand Prix Challenge DVD 3rd : DVD of any 1 of the 7x Super 7even Series If you want anything else explaining please feel free to contact me on here by PM. 17. WEATHER UPDATE : Bright, breezy, but no rain since 1255 hrs
  18. From BEES website : ADAMS IN FOR HOLDER CHRIS Holder has been replaced by fellow Aussie Leigh Adams in tonight's Brandonapolis line-up. Holder has been experiencing mechanical problems in practice and was not confident of putting up a fully competitive display in the meeting. Thanks to his early notice, we have been able to secure Adams who was not included initially due to his heavy schedule, which has been significantly reduced by call-offs at Poole and Swindon this week. Adams was the last man to win an individual meeting at Brandon, having taken the honours in the Elite League Riders' Championship last October.
  19. Does that include the ELRC ? Anyway, the Bees website now has pictures of the track taken in the last hour, here
  20. Just looking out on the track, the odd shower every now and then but nothing to worry about. Track has a little surface water on turn 2, but again nothing to be a concern. Fingers crossed. 1252 UPDATE : Heavy shower blowing through !!
  21. If you wouldn't open the curtains to watch Crump, Holder, Batchelor, Andersen, NKI, Watt, Nicholls, Zagar etc then maybe its time to follow a different sport ?
