Has had a bit of action here and there in the National League and can only benefit from having secured a team place. From what ive seen of him last year (very limited) but bags of potential & a nice style. Last year in the few races i saw he was on the pace, but didnt score an awful lot, thats no criticism of him, just last year was maybe a bit to soon for him. Last year the quality of reserves & new young riders was high. A number of the excellent young riders who started at reserve last year are this seasons main body riders. Without him (having moved on to Kings Lynn) we have about 4.4 for a final rider. A tricky figure to work with as there arent that many riders available on that sort of figure. It was mentioned that the final rider may/would be chosen at P&P in the same way Stoke have done. That could leave us With three 3 pointers in the side? What impressed me about Ben in the race off's was that it seemed he wasn't quite as quick out of the gate as Mcbain( who must be thinking himself unlucky, stick at it mate you have talent)but in one race he held a very tight line to keep under the other racer and in another he rode the boards very bravely, to me that say's that if the track is giving something then he will take it. Ben also rode well - most of his points were JT points, but he rode with spirit and once he cracks turn 2 he'll be good. Baldy Posted March 28, 2011 Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 Wasn't there on Saturday as I was watching my first love, Rugby At London Irish but from those that i have spoke too seem to have enjoyed it, apart from the cold!!. Jason will be a major force in this league, esp if starting at reserve; and by all accounts most of the other lads aquitted themselves well. The two Stoke lads held their own and I think Ben will be a useful reserve for the Potters. I really am looking forward to seeing these young...ish lads get going this year.
