Why shouldn't Glasgow be allowed to compete in the Championship? Tigers currently have wealthy promoters but that has not always been the case, in fact it's rarely been the case in our history. Moving up would eliminate any sort of local rivalry. And further reduces the number of teams to race against. Moving up would force Tigers to give up the Friday night that their fans prefer (by a significant margin over other times/days). More importantly, where would Glasgow get a non cannon fodder Premiership team from? (Never mind not being able to build the type of entertaining team that the promotion and fans want). A combined Oxford and Birmingham team from last year would still have finished miles off the pace. If rumours are true, Glasgow make a not insignificant loss every year, despite the promotions best efforts, in the Championship. Moving up to the Premiership would make that worse and might drive the Facennas away, quite possibly ending speedway in Glasgow. I think I speak for most Tigers fans when I say I don't want the Premiership.

My point exactly... The following is there... The relevance and jeopardy of the competition to get them to attend, unfortunately isn't... Especially on a Monday, (apart from Bank Holiday ones obviously)..

The right mindset, a professional approach, and a rich sponsor. Chris Louis is probably the best thing British speedway currently has, but let's not make out it would be as straightforward for every club. They'd all do it if it was. -
All I see from majority of BV fans on here this that they don’t attend the ‘qualifiers’ 😂 maybe you just need more loyal fans and not pick and choose ones 😉 you seem to have a lot to write ✍🏼

That's 3 definitely signed already then with Rowe & Cairns already signed prior to 2025 season started on 2 year deals as informed by Danny Ford when he signed both. Also on Beau Bailey I see he announced he has signed in POL for 2026 for GKM Grudiadz in POL EXL as their U21 foreign rider plus also in their U24 team. That's some Tuesdays tied up for certain but no different to Cairns who did 8 matches for Z.Gora after he turned 16 end of June. Of course Bailey needs to qualify from one of the several State Champs or from Aussie U21 or Aussie main Champ to ride UK. -
The thing is.... There is a "decent" following for it.... Much greater than the "average" attendance at each track... As is proved each Bank Holiday and during the Play Offs... (And the PCMM also at the NSS).. If the sport could deliver those sizes of crowd levels each meeting during the season, the sport would be in considerably better health.... They just need to find a way of doing it... Getting those who follow the sport closely, but attend infrequently, is a huge market and opportunity to capture and re-engage... The Lakeside example didn't work because it was a one off grand gesture, and you don't win lifetime loyalty using such techniques... Glasgow show that getting people to attend several times before having to pay is a mechanic that does work, as they will have started to buy into the sport, and maybe developed some emotional attachment to the team.... If you invest in a "loss leader" you need to have clear follow up plans to ensure those who have taken advantage of it, return often... Getting the many who still follow the sport but don't attend often, to attend more frequently, would be a lot easier to do than attract the same number of "newbies"...
