I think five man teams will be inevitable if one league happens... However, maybe they will run with a top tier with 8 teams and a 2nd tier with six? (And maybe get the NDL/NORA teams involved in tier two as well?) With the top tier being obviously Championship level... The riders who need to double up will be the stumbling block I would think, and also the earnings of those who need a certain amount of money to meet visa requirements may also impact their availability... In short. We don't really have a "best idea" given the situation the sport has allowed itself to be in, and all the variables that impact it are almost beyond control it sometimes can appear, but we could find a "least worst" solution to follow... Not great is it?

This must be the only sport on planet earth where finishing second bottom of the table could be classed as “a successful season”. Absolutely bonkers Speedway supporters.

We would need to know what Promotions are not will to budge though. Also what is being proposed.

TBH I'm surprised more clubs haven't adopted & adapted 'the Oxford model" of operating 2 or more teams out of the one track. Like, keep essentially the same riders in each team, e.g. from Championship to Premiership level, swap out say a reserve / 2nd string & add GP level rider. So regular speedway each week, watching the same riders with no "he rides for your track one week, against you the next week in a different team".... -

Replacement Star here, yay. Used to have reserved at local newsagents as supermarkets & other newsagents often did carry it "Speedway What ?". I began subscribing as I lost patience with "oh it hasn't arrived yet" lies - "isn't that the 'Star on that pile on the floor, hmmm ?". So I cancelled all our magazine & office sandwich orders so "I'd get them the same day as everyone else. That said, I've noticed if (when ?) my copy is late, all above menshed shops have the mag on display shelves. So Glasgow / Poole went to a Super Heat after 30 regular heats, next up is Poole v Redcar BSN Final, Bears hold a 2pt lead from 1st leg, wonder how that went....
