Sorry, my mistake. No, he didn' ride in heat 1. He was a reserve and replaced Cvetko when the Croatian retired from the meeting after the heat 1 crash.

Italian Gp Terenzano

It's official now, Zagar goes wild in Terenzano: http://speedwaygp.com/news/article/467/zagar-goes-italian -
Thanks, Anders, for this great report, you saved me from doing it. I think we saw quite a good meeting and these little riders (we joked that they can't have more than 30 kilos each ) really showed some great and competitive racing. There were fast, they were aggresive and they never gave up. There was a lot of elbowing in the first corner, also some riders leaning on others, which showed that it really meant a lot to them and that they all wanted to win it. Pawlicki was a deserved winner in the end, I think, as he was very very fast. The weather forecast proved to be correct with 34+ degrees and those of us who could not stay in the shade got a nice little sun tan. Despite the boiling heat we managed to prepare a good, safe track and the starting positions were pretty equal (which is not usually the case in Ljubljana). Gate 1 had 35% of the heat wins, gate 2 25%, and gate 3 and 4 both 20%. I knew Anders was in Ljubljana and I really hoped to meet him. I was so busy I didn't have time to try and find him before the meeting, but then after the meeting, when we were waiting for the last jury meeting, my brother comes to me and tells me that someone is looking for me. And there was Anders. It was really great to have a little chat with you, mate. Would be great to talk to you some more and have a beer or two, but the last jury meeting didn't finish until after 9 pm so it wouldn't make any sense if I told you to wait for me. But I'm sure we'll meet again in the future. I hope you had a great time in Ljubljana and Slovenia. Some photos from the meeting are available here (including photos of me, in case someone else wants to put a face to my name, too : http://www.fotokljucaric.net/gallery.php?f=LJ_final_9.7.2011 http://dragec.net/Fotogalerija/2011/SpeedwayU19LjubljanaG1/index.html http://dragec.net/Fotogalerija/2011/SpeedwayU19LjubljanaG2/index.html

Anders, you were worried about a possible postpoenment of the meeting in Ljubljana. I can now totally calm you down. We will have a nice and sunny day on Saturday, with a pleasant 32 degrees.

If everything goes as planned, we will have LIVE UPDATES available from Saturday's U19 European championship final in Ljubljana! To follow the updates visit AMTK Ljubljana Faceboook page, or click on the following link:

Yes, I have that PDF document and I thought the same as you. But in UEM Track Racing rules (available here: http://uem-moto.eu/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=Q8QLxXBJQ90%3d&tabid=186) on page 6 it says that 4+1 qualify from semifinals 1 and 2.

My guess would be Cejka. I'll let you know when we get the official confirmation.

Italian Gp Terenzano

I hear that the wild card for this year's Grand Prix in Terenzano will not be an Italian, but a neighbour from the East... -
For anyone who plans to come to Ljubljana next saturday, AMTK Ljubljana has prepared a special website with the most important information about the meeting. Here is the link: http://www.amtk.si/speedway/ep-mladinci-finale-2011 The website is in Slovene only, but you can use some translation website to translate it to your language. I've checked Google Translate and Slovene-English translation is surprisingly good. UEM has made the ballot for this meeting. Last three places will be known this Saturday after Scandinavian semifinal round in Seinajoki. 1 Artur CZAJA PZM 2 Kacper Gomolski PZM 3 Tobiasz MUSIELAK PZM 4 Vaclav Milik ACCR 5 Bartosz ZMARZLIK PZM 6 1. from Seinäjoki 7 Dino Kovačić HMS 8 Kai Huckenbeck DMSB 9 Matic Ivačič AMZS 10 Vitaly Belousov MFR 11 Danny Maassen DMSB 12 2. from Seinäjoki 13 Piotr Pawlicki PZM 14 Mikolaj Curylo PZM 15 3. from Seinäjoki 16 Andzejs LEBEDEVS LaMSF 17 Szymon Wozniak PZM 18 Vladimir BORODULIN MFR

Practise is on Saturday at 11am. Looking forward to see you in Ljubljana.
-
The start time on Sunday will be 16:00, as it is on Saturday. But worry not, the weather will be ok. I don't remember a meeting being postponed in Ljubljana in the last 10 or 15 years. What can happen is some short downpour or a storm, but it usually goes away in about an hour or so. So I think at worst we can get a short delay. When are you arriving in Ljubljana? On Friday I guess? If you want, you can join us at the track on Friday afternoon and we can have a chat/beer.
-
Yes, it's 3+1 from Seinajoki. I agree with you, it should be 3 riders from one of the other semifinals. By the way, any idea who is riding in the Nordic round?

The result of the final are not ok. Skornicki was disqualified because the silencer fell off his bike during the final heat.

I don't think anyone was filming the meeting. I only recorded a couple of heats with my camera, as I was too busy cheering for our riders and also entertaining the local girls.

I took this video from the grandstand, where the majority of people were so you can't see them in the video. I'd say around 500-1000 people attended yesterday's meeting and the atmosphere was quite good. Speedway is quite popular in Croatia, especially because of Jurica Pavlic, and now also because of their new hope, Dino Kovacic.
