As has been quoted in various articles Ryan seems to budget for his family coming over with him(no problem there) but some people might see that as" excessive."
Nobody has mentioned that Ryan was not not good value for what he was being paid!! They were just pointing out that his wage demands might have been a hinderance on finding a club.He has now found a club everybody happy
Any Promoter in the PL would love to have crowds that Plymouth seem to attract. As for your comment regarding Berwick doing a "Newport" is doing a disservice to the current Promotion given the effort they have put into the Club.IMO
One thing for sure if Plymouth sign everybody that has been mentioned they will need a clean sweep in ALL competitions to pay the bills and maintain crowd levels, or they might finish up like a certain club this winter.Has Bowden got a new motto this season "speculate to accumulate"
I tend to agree that "assessed" foriegners should keep their assessed average till they reach it,it would encouragePromoters to stick with young Brits for a couple of seasons if they are progressing.
Roynon is past N/L standard and is simply keeping a young Brit out of aTeam Place IMO and probably costing a little more regarding points money, simiiar to the Barker & Gjedde situation regarding P/L places.
Haven't a clue,Averages and stupid rules are just killing the sport IMO,can see why fans just walk away and new fans just think its a joke .sport.Doubling-up and in Roynon's case Trebling-up should be banned IMO.
I was under the impression that if your EL average was over 6pts your were not allowed to double up unless you rode in the PL in 2011(Barker and Gjedde being examples) Fisher was 6.01.
I think everyone is getting a bit carried away just because Ashworth is not going to Plymouth.Berwick would have had their own plans in place before this happened and he would not have been part of them then IMO,So why should he be part of them now?Just because his average might fit.
