Warsaw GP 2022 Saturday May 14th
Mark replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The bloke who owns Ryanair was saying its impossible to keep social distancing on a flight. He said leaving the middle seat of 3 empty is pointless. The person in front and behind a window seat is closer than the same row isle seat. He was very negative about airlines flying commercially for a long time. Time will tell. -
Rumour is BS and you can't be sure who the person was on BT. Enough said.

Arsenal's ground hasn't been full for many years. Wenger managed to have it half empty in his latter years How does a presenter on BT know what no one else does. Its BS not BT. There are 101 questions to be answered on coronavirus. Can we catch it twice, when will a vaccine be found, we don't even know the UK exit plan yet. No one knows. Anyone listening to rumours needs to think twice. You will find out next week if Cardiff will go ahead as Boris will be announcing his exit plan. Ireland have banned crowds at sport events until August 10th and even then its with strict social distancing rules. Just my opinion but it must be doubtful the UK would be any sooner.

6 GP is plenty to find a Champion. In 2020 needs must.

If most of the riders are in the Polish League it seems a good idea as travel is banned. Not expecting answers but how does the league race on Friday if there is a GP same day. Also a problem for riders not based in Poland doing a 14 day quarantine maybe on 3 seperate occasions.

Where did you hear the rumour

We all work for money to feed our family. But its all about the balance being right between family and wages. It's a short career to miss a season. Maybe these riders won't get offered a well paid deal in 2021 because of disloyalty. Pay rates in all sports will take a hit. I'm pleased footballers won't be able to demand massive salaries, massive transfers and agents taking a massive cut for doing little.
-
I'm certain they will ride unless Poland get a huge spike in virus cases. The plan is published and fixtures published. No other sport has done that so far. If riders like Bewley and Batchelor miss 2020 in Poland is that a huge loss ? There will be loads of young Polish riders willing to replaced them and make a name for themselves. With the Polish authorities telling riders they must accept pay cuts for the good of the sport I wonder if the top overseas riders who choose to miss 2020 will be unfavourably treated in future years by sponsors and clubs. The Poles are doing there best to keep the sport alive so maybe clubs / sponsors will have long memories. Could this encourage overseas GP riders move to Poland for five months. Players in other sports like cricket, golf and rugby have extended time away from home so what is the problem. Didn't one Aussie rider based in the UK say he spends 6 months in the UK every year to ride speedway. Tell me the difference to what Poland are doing. The use of just one mechanic could be a positive. If it works well it will cost cut in the future. Maybe the ref will allow a little bit longer between heats for mechanical changes to be made to give something back.

That would be different. . If the 15 GP riders stay in Poland name your 15 for a UK series. Take any rider and assume the rider will come to the UK.
-
Most or all of the top 15 will be in Poland.

Because of the 14 day quarantine rule in Poland for Ekstraliga riders are we looking at the 2020 GP series only at Poland tracks. With the Polish border closed its the only way Ekstraliga riders could take part in the GP series. Could 5 or 6 GP's with no crowd be run at tracks around Poland.
-
Only personal opinion but I can't see crowds at sporting events this year anywhere bar the USA. They have a leader who has his own ideas. Nor can I see the Poles withdrawing the 14 day quarantine rule for a long time. By May 8th we will know the riders who will stay in Poland until October to ride Ekstraliga. Those riders won't be riding in GP's or Euros outside of Poland in 2020.

PGE Ekstraliga starts on June 12. Meanwhile, on April 30, there will be changes in regulations, primarily the Rules of Club Affiliation with attachments and a completely new Sanitary Regulations - in force in PGE Ekstralidze until the epidemic state. The final is scheduled for October 11. On May 1, a seven-day transfer window will be opened at PGE Ekstralidze, and players will be able to sign annexes updating their contracts. From May 8, the beginning of the fourteen-day quarantine for all competitors who are currently outside of Poland is scheduled . Quarantine rules are governed by separate state regulations. All players staying in Poland and their teams will be required to minimize activity outside the home to protect their health. After quarantine, but not earlier than May 23, the listed persons and functionaries at PGE Ekstraliga competitions , whose names will be soon presented by the clubs to PGE Ekstraliga, undergo compulsory genetic tests for COVID-19 (they will take place in the cities of PGE Ekstraliga clubs). Functional persons on behalf of PZM will also be tested, i.e. track judges and commissioners. The costs of the tests will be covered by Speedway Extraleague together with the clubs. Assuming negative results of tests for the presence of COVID-19 in all persons mentioned, individual and team training in PGE Ekstraliga clubs will start no earlier than May 29 a In addition, each day, until the end of the competition or cancellation of the epidemic status, all match participants, including players and their teams, will be obliged to monitor their health via a special form. The temperature will also be measured for every person entering the facility before matches and training - as part of the current sanitary regime of PGE Ekstraliga. In case of health problems of players or people working on matches, all decisions regarding their health and further procedures will be made by Sanitary and Epidemiological Stations . A special function in PGE Ekstraliga games will be performed by a sanitary commissioner , who will be delegated by each of the clubs, and his task will be primarily to care for compliance with sanitary requirements. and will last until the start of the competition, which results from the new PGE Ekstraliga schedule Due to numerous media inquiries related to "frostbite" of PGE Ekstraliga games, we also present some sanitary regulation rules . As part of the games, a number of organizational changes will be introduced. Before the competition there will be no technical control, the introduction of the telemetry system has also been suspended, the number of turnarounds has been reduced, there will be no traditional presentation, and each player will be able to have only one mechanic in his box during the match. Zones are planned within each facility at PGE Ekstralidze : a turret, a machine park, a plate, a technical park, and an outdoor zone of the stadium. Each of them will be able to stay a certain - constant - number of people. In the machine park, as well as other zones, apart from training trips on the track of players, as well as the races themselves in matches of PGE Ekstraliga, there will be an obligation to keep a distance of two meters between people. All guidelines for players will be included in a special sanitary manual for players, which will also include the principles of safe training and matches. This year's season at PGE Ekstralidze will take place without public participation in the stands until the ban on mass events is lifted by the competent state administration bodies. All matches will be broadcast by nSport + and ELEVEN SPORTS . The competition is scheduled to end on October 11.
