Completely forgot about that World U21 Team Cup at Rye House.There is an empty weekend on 12th Sept in Poland with no teams scheduled to ride.Maybe,just maybe, the outstanding fixtures would be on that weekend.

Any ideas who'll be riding who on September 5th in the play offs(obviously one result to be confirmed after the rain off)?Thinking of going over to Poland for one of the semi-finals on that weekend.

racers and royals,I happened to go ZG when they raced against Leszno in June(1st time ever in Poland).I stood/sat in sector K where all the Ultras were.It was quite incredible even though the home team got a bit of a beating.If ever you get the opportunity of going there,then I can highly recommend it!As Mateusz has said speedway is a religion in ZG not a sport!

I hope to make it over to Poland again too before the end of the season.After my 1st experience of a Polish league meeting at ZG v Leszno in June,I can't wait to go over there again.I'm looking at 1st leg of the Ekstraliga final on October 3rd(although getting a ticket maybe a problem).Looking at the current Ekstraliga standings,I think basing myself in Poznan would be a good idea for a weekend as the teams likely to be involved aren't going to be too far away to get to.

Well impressed with Gizatullin in this meeting.Really working hard for his points. Then he comes last in heat 14!!

My favourites are Peter Smoke,Mark Sheet,Peter Ping and Matthew Sixes!!

In that case I'll email ZG and see if they'll reserve me a couple of tickets.I did the same for the Stal Gorzow meet v Bydgoszcz(until it was cancelled) and found the club to be extremely helpful. I will contact you regarding your help if needed Rico.Many thanks for your help

Thanks for the info Rico and tractorlady for travelling to/from Poznan.I'm due to fly there in June with Spinking jnr and will be heading to Zielona Gora for their meeting against Leszno.It'll be my 1st time there in Poland(after having to cancel my trip earlier this month)and am looking forward to it immensely.

If the same thing was to happen in the UK(god forbid),we would be the same here,Mateusz.We would be in grieving which would be understandable.I don't think it would be a good time to visit Poland with so many people feeling this sorrow.

I've just heard from a very reliable Polish contact on here that this weekends fixtures may be cancelled too,as it will be the Polish Pms funeral.I was booked on a flight to Poznan for the Gorzow v Bydgoszcz this weekend myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So sad to hear of the tragic news of the death of the Polish PM. As I'm due to travel to Poznan next Friday for the meeting in Gorzow,could our Polish friends please keep us updated on any fixture changes for next weekend.
