Yes and no- Discovery sports events are the new promoters and Eurosport are in the same group. Discovery have said that Discovery plus will be the main viewing platform for the GP`s(subscription channel)they have also mentioned coverage on Eurosport but i am yet to be convinced that LIVE will be on Eurosport.

So why is Etheridge listed at 5 in the line-up in the preview- replacing one of the other riders missing- did they make that up as well !!

Over a cup of tea this morning i have been thinking (difficult at my time of life ) about tactics on using the U 21 ride. Steven Goret is in my opinion the worst of the 7 U 21 riders on show, so ideally on Saturday heat 11 would be the ideal race for Brennan. France however are hardly likely to definitely use Goret in that race. It will be intesting how it pans out over the 2 days. I can foresee some blagging from teams similar to the F1 pit crews

A change can be made either before day 1 or 2 in case of injury.

If it’s 2 teams tied it’s head to head over the 2 days. If that can’t split them it’s bonus points that are then used to decide. if it’s more than 2 teams tied it’s bonus points that decide. if this still doesn’t decide it then 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th are counted . if that doesn’t decide it then the higher ranked side finishes above the other team(s)

Might be a good time to clarify the format and some of the rules. Day 1 21 heats scoring 4, 3, 2, 0 under U 21 rider must ride in 1 heat Day 2 1st day scores are added to day 2 another 21 heats and the U 21 rider must take 1 ride. At the end of the 42nd heat the leading team go to the final(race 44). next best 2 teams go in race 43 to decide who gets to the final. The team who win the final win the title.(2nd and 3rd beat 1 and 4) Any starting offence warnings are not carried over from day 1 to day 2. U 21 riders are not allowed to replace riders excluded for a starting offence.

Exactly what i was about to post- 1 was Saturday 1 Sunday. Ellis has ridden different countries on successive days many times in his career. GB and Sweden GB and Poland etc etc
