I wonder what bit existing fans can’t understand ? They might not like it but the changes to the GP are hardly rocket science. top 2 after 20 heats to final 3, 6, 8 and 9 in 1st semi 4, 5 ,7 and 10 in 2nd semi both winners to Grand final.

Just to clarify how i understand Saturday qualifying will pan out. At 1 pm UK time all the riders will get 2-2 minute practice runs ( Fp 1 and 2) the riders will have been drawn into 8 groups of 2 ( pair 1-8). in Q 1 each pair will take to the track for 1 minute and the fastest progresses to Q 2 Q2 is the same as Q 1 but only 4 pairs. The 4 fastest will compete in the Sprint race for 4, 3, 2 and 1 point. The draw for the GP will then take place with the winner of the sprint having 1st choice of starting number. this all should be done in 90 mins.
