Wish you hadn`t posted that as it`s reminded me that in the same season we(the Racers) had the Kai Niemi guest farce. I thought i had just got over it but i`m not so sure now.

Dave Mullett told me a lovely story about Kelvin when i phoned him a few days ago to tell him the sad news. I`m sure Dave won`t mind me repeating it here. Canterbury were on a northern tour and all the team were in one big van and for some reason Kelvin was in his own van following. Unknown to the team Kelvin had fixed a stink bomb in their van which was triggered by the van breaking, and the smell was so bad they had to do an emergency stop and all pile out with Kelvin stopped behind laughing his head off

Sweden have a week off next week so round 7 is on Tuesday July 3rd and the TV match is scheduled to be Lejonen v Smederna

Next question i suppose is who will be the 3 permanent wildcards ? Surely the finals need a Swede so that`s 1 sorted ! It wouldn`t surprise me to also see a Latvian in the series so that leaves 1 - maybe a Czech or German ?

To add a bit of interest to the 4 Eurosport televised finals R & R bookmakers invite you too take part in this competition. He just turned 16 a couple of weeks ago when he made his Gdansk debut and from seeing him in a couple of TV matches/video`s he looks to have a bright future. Yes they could have picked another rider but as the meeting is in Gdansk and they only have 3 riders in it they probably thought they would make it 4. Maybe Bewley can ride instead of Cook- which he probably will be doing for Rybnik for the remainder of the season.
