We do have the Sprint on the Friday afternoon which 3000 fans(max) will pack the place to enjoy the ‘ spectacle’

It’s always been a normal 7 team SON 2 with 8 teams of suitable good riders to warrant being in it. It hasn’t happened before where the team finishing last the year before are the actual host nation and have to be in the meeting( no crowd otherwise) If another country suddenly produces good enough riders to warrant inclusion then the FIM have a decision to make.

Yes but the difference is in SON 2 there are 8 teams who go straight into a final- Sweden finished last in 2022 so are back in this season. Whereas SON has 15 nations in it.

Eurosport are NOT showing any of this weeks SON/SON 2 live this week- for the umpteenth time. It is live on Discovery + and we have a separate thread for the meeting.

Reference your last sentence- that is exactly why they are putting the whole competition on Discovery + They have paid big money for the rights and need to get as much back from Subscriptions as they can. We are very fortunate in the UK that the GP’s are on Eurosport. In Poland for instance, only the 4 GP’s staged in Poland are available on TTT Tv and the others on player and rebranded MAX( Discovery +) I am not sure that from 2025 when Eurosport becomes TNT we won’t go the same way and it will be subscription or nothing.
