  1. I watched heats 1 and 2 on Premier. The guy is a joke! I've switched to sopcast!
  2. Without Greg i can't see anything other than a Vetlanda win tonight. Surely Hampel and Crump will run riot? Let's hope i am wrong! Regards. Alan.
  3. Thanks my friend. I got in the first two heats and then spent the next few hours explaining the rudiments of the game to a bunch of American "soccer moms" .I hope your day went well. In the United States if your marriage lasts 5 years you get a "congratulations" letter from Obama.10 years and they fly Cliff Richard in to sing it to you. Shame about the deluge in the Green Hills but i now get to see it live later this week. Regards. Alan
  4. Hi everyone. Nice stream for anyone struggling. http://www.transmisje.info/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=105&Itemid=48 Regards. Alan.
  5. " -i have a wedding anniversary do-why did i get married during the speedway season ??" Dear old Eric Morcambe- " There's no answer to that one " Congratulations and have a great day. Kindest regards. Alan.
  6. This disease has afflicted the United States! I was informed yesterday evening by my better half, that we were invited to a "soccer brunch" hosted by her boss's wife and that we were to leave at 10.30am, bottle of wine and salad in hand. I pointed out that there are only two teams who count in English football, Coventry City and Reading, to no avail. Guess who is hoping that TVP post recordings of both meetings? Join you for the first five heats! Regards. Alan.
  7. I finally did get a message through detailing the live and delayed broadcast. Posted on his message board "This afternoon's streams are cancelled. Not enough watching. Sorry" So it seems we are probably out of luck, unless there is a late Swedish streamer to the rescue. I did try! Regards. Alan.

  9. Thanks for the link. Shame about young Jacob. With 20 heats gone, as Pearson says "It's all very tight!" I won't spoil it and will let you put it up after the semi and final. Regards. Alan.
  10. "Rather than consolidate on a single race day, I wonder if the EL clubs will instead forego the top level foreigners and cut their cloth accordingly." One or the other because you can't have both and call it "Elite" I believe you need a shake-up akin to that which has occurred in Rugby League. A complete rethinking and rebranding because it's dying on its feet compared to Sweden and Poland. I think you could run an "Elite" competition on a single night with 9 home and 9 away meetings plus playoffs and have viable "Domestic" speedway on other nights.People know the stars cost money and will pay accordingly to see them. But the attitude in Britain is always, first and foremost why it won't work, rather than "Let's give it a whirl" Regards. Alan.
  11. You are forgiven (this once) Take care my friend. Alan.
  12. It is NOT possible for anyone to have less idea than me with this technology stuff.I set the universal standard for haplessness If i can grab my 16 year old's attention for 20 seconds when he comes in from school, i'll see if he can do it. Take care. Alan.
  13. It was easy to know where they were from in the days of Igor Plechanov when there was this big red and yellow hammer and sickle on their breastplate. The recent World Under 21 Team Final, of which i saw the first five heats, was very impressive from every point of view. Stadium, crowd, organisation, and the Russian and Ukranian riders. I guess 20 years on from the fall of communism it is still a pretty lawless society and the examples you give are symptomatic of the society at large. We shall see how it all unfolds. Speedway and all. Best Wishes. Alan.
  14. Or not. "You cannot send a message (on Twitter) to someone who is not following you". I have no idea with this stuff Alan.
  15. And you are going out today to your local "Radio Shack" ( do you have them in Sweden?) to purchase the electronic gizmo- equipment to hook up your TV to your computer, sign up with soccer-live, put on your white lab. coat and goggles, and stream it for us Have a good day. Alan.
  16. Sorry for forgetting about Denmark on Wednesdays. As for Russia, i have a feeling, from the meetings i have seen this year and the crowds and facilities on display, that there will be a wave of talent coming forth over the next five years. Emil and the Lagutas being merely the vanguard. The UK promoters are their own worst enemies and have an unsustainable business model which will cause an increasing number of clashes that will rebound on them. The example this week where Thomas H. Jonasson was given an ultimatum by Poole. Ride for us, not Smederna-in a championship final, no less, or face a ban. The situation was only averted because the poor lad is carrying an injury and said no to both. Emil tonight chose Russia over Coventry (quite rightly) but says he would have tried to get the Russian fixture changed had it been a playoff deciding meeting. Both situations involved rearranged fixtures, one down to our arch enemy, rain, and the other, rider availability. There's a shocker! It is totally understandable that riders want to maximise their earnings over a six month season but with half-baked teams being tracked to the detriment of the paying public, the UK has to change it's act. Poland and Sweden are the model, and Denmark lives within it's means- and good for all of them. Regards. Alan.
  17. Does Ghostwalker have any news about Thomas H. Jonasson? He scored 10 last night in the Elitserien. After not riding for Smederna today in the second leg Allsvenskan final i went to the Poole website to see how he did for them tonight to see England's most popular rider r/r took his place. After that awful tumble in the first leg, has he decided to take a complete (and probably much needed )break? Regards. Alan.
  18. What you say makes absolute sense (as always ) and shows again why the Elite league in it's current form is on its last legs. Until they go with a single night-Wednesday, then you will have "teams" populated by r/r, guest, d/u. With Sundays for Poland, Tuesdays for Sweden, Thursdays for Russia, the GP's every other Saturday, I'd grab Wednesdays before someone else does. The recent video you posted about Greg and his family and what you say about Andreas makes perfect sense. I can here the Wolves moans already but IT IS THE ONLY WAY forward for a viable Elite league. Take care. Alan. PS. I was joking about Emil, who is worth every penny he gets. As all speedway riders are
  19. Congratulations to Rospiggarna. Very worthy winners. For Smederna-a good season and now on to 2012.
