That they quite rightly deserve to win the play offs. It's not a criticism of the well balanced Poole team but more an observation that winning is not the be all and end all over the course of a season. Pay £20 expect decent entertainment.
And apparently the racing was over by bend 2. Glasgow the best team in the league this season. Poole hit very good form in the play offs. Irrespective of what happens on Friday, wouldnt swap places with Poole or any other team for that matter. Been a joy to watch the racing at Ashfield this season.
If Max and Freddy were to continue improving at this rate they will have good careers ahead. Max is steady whereas Freddy can't gate but battles past riders when possible. Too many young Brits have chucked it so don't see what unwarranted criticism achieves here. We finish top of the league and make the play off finals. That's plenty good enough for me thanks.
Well done Glasgow track staff for getting a smooth safe surface just 48 hours after major flooding. Been a joy to watch this team at this amazing track, no matter the outcome in second leg.
Sam Jensen available? . 3rd time lucky in play offs for Sam? Seem to remember he had 2 previous attempts. Very good round Ashfield. Not afraid to take the wide line.
Crowds have improved recently(2019) as the track improvements have produced better racing. First time visitors more likely to return if the racings like last year. Still room for improvement with lengthy tractor breaks and presentation but its really dream land for us just now. Very few huge home wins maybe shows how fair the tracks now become too.
No title at Glasgow this year, so well done Lions on the title. Plenty digs at the "money men" not winning the title but these individuals have just served up the most entertaining season of speedway I can remember. Makes them winners too I reckon.
Enjoyed that. As said Anders Rowe could be the difference between the sides. Very impressed by him. Several great heats tonight and no matter what happens in the 2nd leg we have been well entertained this season.
Ashfield has served up some great racing this year. Vast majority of meetings have been terrific value for money with passing from both sides unlike a few years ago when FTG was the norm. I cannot fathom why folk can't accept that last week fell well short of that standard.
