The album is called Live at the Revolution. I have had the album since the seventies. I also visited alot of track up and down the country at that time. But i have never been able to find out where the front cover picture was taken

Sorting out my records tonight, Found an album that i had forgot about. The front cover feature's five musicians sat on speedway bikes, but i still don't know to this day where the picture was taken. The group were called The Wild Angels, and the album was released in the late sixties. If you would like to see the album cover please e-mail me as i have taken a picture and will send you it. How about a rider from the seventies, who used to second half at Hull..................Bandy Burnett......Anybody know what happened to him?

I would like to relate a story that my mum and dad used to tell me. My parents both had an active part in the running of HULL ANGEL'S SPEEDWAY between 1948/49. sadly the team folded at the end of the 49 season, and sold the licence to Swindon. During the two seasons many speedway riders stayed at my parents house. During one home meeting my mother was aproached by a young man who she said was very polite and spoke very softly. she said he had an australian accent. He asked if there was any possibility of staying the night with some other riders who had come down from the north east ? My mum said that there would probably be room for more, even if they had to sleep on the floor. She found out later that man was Ken le Breton......The White Ghost

Bumped into Dave Jessup the other day. he told me that it was Chris Louis who was the first to ride a wessie. I seems they gave him one to do a grasstrack meeting at Lydon, and nobody could catch him. and as he didn't want to give it back , he became the first rider to use a wessie in speedway..................unless anybody outhere knows different.

Talked to both Eric Boocock and Ian Cartwright about the first rider on a Weslake, and they both said ..........Gordon Kennet. He only lived 2 mins away from factory, and helped in the development. So Weslake made him first works rider...........Hope this helps....... :-o
