Västervik leads the 2nd part of their semifinal against Elit Vetlanda with 4points which makes a total lead of 20 points with 3 heats to go. Västervik thereby is in the final against Dackarna. Worth mentioning is that the young talented rider Billy Forsberg managed to beat Jason Crump when Billy and Gollob took 5-1 against Crump and Robin Aspgren in heat 10.

yes but if you had been right i would have agreed with beesboybert .

here is an article about the arena plans: http://www.gotlandska.se/artikel-rss.asp?ID=20695 looks like they are back at Traume when it comes to location for the new track. Bysarna hired a company called AB PentaCon. ABPC's job was to make a riskanalysis for a new track at traume. they have looked at possible issues such as noice level and traffic. The sketch shows how the new track might look like with anti-noise banks and anti-noise fences and grandstand. translations: Läktare = grandtsand Buller plan = anti-noise fences Buller vall= anti-noise banks. domartorn = referees cabin. kontor=office

match info from Västervik -Elit Vetlanda can be followed below: http://blogg.wmsk.se/ since there is some problems with speedway.nu's match info from that meeting.

with 2 heats to go Dackarna has a 10p lead. for links to full scores see first post.

sure no problem. and while i'm at it the semi final between Vetlanda and Västervik has been cancelled due to rain. It will be held on thursday instead.

as said on first page, 3rd post. no broadcasts are available neither on tv or internet. Tv4 has the rights but they mainly broadcast football. Hopefully a tv channel who has some more interest can buy the rights for next year.

An American Gp!
Ghostwalker replied to i love tractors's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
It really doesn't come down to 'where's a good place for a GP', but where a local mug.. errr, promoter can be found to take the financial risk. Well i think Dubai might be a place to start since there is where you find people with really big wallets -

Yes G-burg is a fantastic city but Ullevi is a quite windy and cold arena. -
An American Gp!
Ghostwalker replied to i love tractors's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
yes but the difference is that the riders will be home during weekdays. Lets say they fly to the GP on thursday and gets back home on Sunday. The rider is home from Sunday afternoon to THursday with no league commitments. Far from every rider has wife and kids. -
Well now that you mention it. but dont remember what happened with Jagus if he wasnt good enough or if he wasnt fit after the crash in Eskilstuna. Hampel no idea.
-
yes but the problem is that the first rounds of the qualifiers are quite early in the season and a rider who would normally manage top 8 might find himelf outside top 8 because of Injuries. I Think AJ, Jagus, Hampel could very well all have been top 8 if they hadn't been injured. So i think the qualifiers needs to be looked over a bit to see how the GP riders that are with in top 8 in the first half of the Gps can be given a chance to qualify as well if they miss top 8.

Ghostwalker replied to i love tractors's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
yeah i agree as you said you dont need to have all Gps between may and september. If you have Gps like in Malaysia and other places where its warm during the whole year, you can without any problem have Gps there when the National Series in Europe either havent started yet or already have finished -
Swedish Expert commentator ex-rider Peter Nahlin said that he believed that Adams would not ride next year in the GP.

2008 Grand Prix Series
Ghostwalker replied to T.N.T.'s topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
since BSI prefer nationality before performance i would'nt count out Zagar just yet. I wouldnt be surprised if he gets a wc just because he's slovenian. -

Robin Johansson Benefit Meeting
Ghostwalker replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
Yeah especially when you look at the start list with allot of young up and coming U21 riders and that "everyone" "always" say that they want more Swedish riders in the Swedish teams. but when they are given the opportunity to see these riders in action either in Allsvenskan or in this case a Benefit Meeting many choose to stay home. Such a shame they missed some really good racing today although i wished that someone could have put up some more opposition Against Eric A who only missed 1p today. -
