  1.  and by the way we were actually missing 2 riders but don't let facts get in your way.
  2. We did and we were missing our top rider and by the way we are also missing one of the best reserves in the league in Mr Rose - I look forward to Sunday when we have our full team out. The winner of the play offs will come from Newcastle or Glasgow and you can bookmark that also.
  3. We did have an off night Lindgren having a mare, Worrall off and on and missing Lambert more than caters for one of your reserves scoring 1 - 3 points below what he has been recently at home. That's not saying that's a fact.
  4. I have been his worst critic in the past and any other year I would have been raising an eyebrow and saying "yet again", however he has been pretty consistent on his travels this year. Lewis probably in the end was a poor choice as guest alhough he did ok, Steve continued his very inconsistent form as of late and why was Phillips not replaced in heat 14?
  5. About what I expected and that was without even thinking that Lindgren would be so poor. Lambert I would expect would have added to the total and very surprised Morris was not a replacement for Phillips in heat number 14. Ipswich have done well to get to the play offs but over 2 legs, I would take Newcastle every single time.
  6. Thing is we have been very strong on your track the last couple of years and you could say that about any team riding anywhere that there are some riders who do not like an away track. This Newcastle team though has been putting strong performances at every single track (except Scunthorpe) even when key riders having been missing on countless occasions. Kus and Lingren are currently in very strong form and there is no a chance in hell you will get your prediction right. Not one of the top teams has beat us by more than 10 points at home - Ipswich have improved but this Diamonds team has been strong all season and are in excellent form at this moment of time also. Losing Lambert is a blow but Kerr will do a decent job and won't be too far off the points Robert would have scored anyway - if Robert had been riding I think we could beat you but with him missing I'm sticking to my 6 to 10 point defeat prediction but would not be surprised in the slightest if this team did pull it off. Ipswich need to win as they won't get anything on Sunday.
  7. Has very strong ties with Newcastle, scored 14 points for the Diamonds at Ipswich last year and is currently riding nowhere near like a 5 point rider so I can see why
  8. As with Rene last night he has close ties to Newcastle and will be giving 100%. He is also in decent form currently at the moment and will no doubt be wanting to prove a point after getting released earlier in the season. Not a chance in hell we will get beat by 16 - 20 points mind and although it will be a tough match, I never discount anything from this team especially if they are all on form which has been pretty regular so far this season.
  9. Go for it - my prediction is a 6 - 10 points victory for the Wtiches and a 10 - 16 points victory for the Diamonds on Sunday.
  10. Sorry just can't see that margin at all even without Lambert but everyone entitled to their opinion
  11. Agree but you have to remember that Newcastle have also only failed to hit 40 points once this season at our perennial bogey track. Must win for Ipswich as you will get nothing at Brough in the return fixture.
  12. That wasn't a dig at RL by the way just a reminder to the good Comet fans on here who had a few choice comments about him not so long ago
  13. SW form dipped a tiny bit the last month hopefully he will get back to his usual self ready for the play offs.
  14. Fitness test on Monday Lost count of the number of stupid rules in GB speedway - keep hearing they are going to get them right every pre season only for another few to be added
  15. Know it was tongue in cheek but Rene has too many firends up here to not give 100% plus I think Glasgow's win last night has cemented 2nd place for them at the 'cut off' stage. My one tiny concern is that Rene has never looked the same rider around Brough since his horrendous crash but he is in good form.
  16. After the way some of their fans on this board went on about RL I hope they don't. I still say Glasgow are our biggest threat in the Play Off and likewise I think we are their biggest threat.
  17. Surely you're not saying you want them to beat your own team They won't get anything anyway apart from going back to Cumbria with zero points.
  18. What doees it say as can only see a post from 2 days ago (not his friend so he may have some posts blocked to the public)
  19. Possible and fair enough if he is knackered or has bike problems - probably cost us an additional point though. As with AM I said I would love to be proved wrong and he has made more than a decent start so far - you won't move me on the DP scenario though
  20. Good win but would like to know if RL was having a problem otherwise a terrible decision not putting him in for heat 15 which could have cost us another point and maybe the difference between finishing 2nd. Won't have a go though as there may have been problems.
