So as expected, once again it is you who refuses to discuss, you who shuts down the conversation and you who cannot provide any evidence to back up your 'opinion'. You even now take offence at someone providing sourced reasoning and facts! You're not happy to discuss things, you've been given ample opportunity.. you're simply incapable and prefer to throw your toys out and storm off we've the old "I've got better things to do" line... Until the next time you pop up that is.

Still waiting. Provide me the evidence that influenza and Covid-19 do not transmit in the same way. All this time you've spent waffling, you could have done it by now. You won't, because you can't. Every post is the same..... endless waffle with absolutely nothing to back it up. Whereas I CAN back up what I say.. as follows: From the CDC: (Center for Disease Control and prevention) HOW IT SPREADS Both COVID-19 and flu can spread from person-to-person, between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet). Both are spread mainly by droplets made when people with the illness (COVID-19 or flu) cough, sneeze, or talk. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. It may be possible that a person can get infected by physical human contact (e.g. shaking hands) or by touching a surface or object that has virus on it and then touching his or her own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes. Both flu virus and the virus that causes COVID-19 may be spread to others by people before they begin showing symptoms, with very mild symptoms or who never developed symptoms (asymptomatic). Differences While COVID-19 and flu viruses are thought to spread in similar ways, COVID-19 is more contagious among certain populations and age groups than flu. Also, COVID-19 has been observed to have more superspreading events than flu. This means the virus that causes COVID-19 can quickly and easily spread to a lot of people and result in continuous spreading among people as time progresses. Meanwhile the WHO tells us: How are COVID-19 and influenza viruses similar? Firstly, COVID-19 and influenza viruses have a similar disease presentation. That is, they both cause respiratory disease, which presents as a wide range of illness from asymptomatic or mild through to severe disease and death. Secondly, both viruses are transmitted by contact, droplets and fomites. As a result, the same public health measures, such as hand hygiene and good respiratory etiquette (coughing into your elbow or into a tissue and immediately disposing of the tissue), are important actions all can take to prevent infection. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So again chris4gillian, let's see your evidence that says both the CDC and WHO are wrong about how the two viruses spread.
-
Of course you can't.. you never can. You turn up, talk some nonsense with nothing whatsoever to back it up.. and when challenged to provide it.. you don't want to talk anymore. I'm not closed at all, I'm here willing to discuss.. open always to new information. You're the one who constantly wants to shut down conversation. Now provide the evidence that flu and Covid-19 transmit in a very different way.
-
Go ahead... although, please note that I haven't referenced the Daily Mail in respect to how influenza and Covid-19 are transmitted.
-
Wrong again, because if we didn't have the lockdown and all the restrictions people wouldn't be scared of a virus that is involved in 1/6th of the deaths of flu/pneumonia.
-
So Cancer is not a life threatening condition according to you.
-
No you haven't. You can't provide any evidence because they are viruses that transmit in EXACTLY THE SAME WAY. As confirmed by every medical body on the planet. Nobody is talking about how they 'behave'. The discussion is about how they transmit. Although if you want to go down that route, we're told Covid-19 is more deadly.. so you'd be on to a losing argument there as well.
-
You continue to plough the depths whilst bleating about being bullied. The fact you find it funny says it all.
-
Again, you don't understand what a 'fact' is. Meanwhile: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8553929/Lockdowns-DONT-work-study-claims.html So now your defence is that the countries who didn't lockdown as much didn't have as many deaths because they didn't have as many cases.. Remind me what the purpose of lockdown was/is again please?
-
Again, you're making things up and trying to present them as fact when they aren't. It's already been explained to you multiple times that deaths involving flu, which spreads in EXACTLY the same way haven't been falling for the past few months. So it's clear, that lockdown, masks, distancing etc has not effected the transmission of a virus. Sweden, which has a very different policy to our own has seen the exact same pattern occur with Covid-19 deaths. In fact their deaths have reduced significantly more than ours now. If you 'for one' feel that 1 death is too many then you are advocating a lockdown for life.
-
You seem to have trouble understanding what a 'fact' is. That is your opinion, not a fact. A fact is something that has happened and can be proven. Lockdown isn't a worldwide thing as you keep claiming. There have been differing levels of restrictions applied around the world, with some barely locking down at all. These 'much, much higher deaths' haven't occurred.
-
Then there is nothing to discuss. If cases don't lead to hospital admissions/deaths, then there is no crisis.
-
Facts aren't opinions. They are facts. You get upset because your opinions aren't supported by facts. That is your problem not mine. You also seem to have an issue with posts about Covid-19/Coronavirus on designated threads for such a topic. As for being 'utterly obsessed' with it. Well, forgive me for being interested in the biggest event in the world today affecting the lives of billions. As for your fabrication, I have never once said people aren't allowed opinions.. that is your line. All opinions are welcomed.. but they will also be questioned if they aren't backed up with coherent reasoning and facts.
-
It's well established that lockdown has caused deaths and continues to do so. When the virus was rampant, the deaths from the virus obviously outweighed them... now however they do not. Deaths in hospitals are below the five year average. Deaths in care homes are below the five year average. Deaths at home however are between 800-100 ABOVE average each week and have been for last couple of months. The majority of these coming from people either too frightened to go to the doctors/hospital when ill or unable to due to unavailable appointments. It will be another thing you'll be in complete denial about no doubt.

As Blupanther says, when someone lowers themselves to such a level, they really do show their true colors. As do those who find it amusing.
-
If he's referring to me I have no idea what he's talking about. All I know about the guy is he made some ridiculous false statements, was corrected factually and couldn't handle it. He has an issue with facts being posted because they contradict his hysteria. Lockdown fanboy basically. To hell with all those dying as a result.
-
Keep laughing whilst people die. Sick.
-
Yep, when we learn of another 800 or so folks who have died due to fear spread by scaremongerers.
-
He is, as he is wrong and proven so without a single element of doubt. Or perhaps he knows more than the CDC (Centre for Disease Control and Prevention), ONS (Office of National Statistics), WHO (World Health Organsiation) and every single other medical organisation in the world who state they are transmitted in the same way.
-
And you've been shown that you are 100% wrong, so it doesn't matter how many times you say it. As per the CDC. HOW IT SPREADS Both COVID-19 and flu can spread from person-to-person, between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet). As a result, the same public health measures, such as hand hygiene and good respiratory etiquette (coughing into your elbow or into a tissue and immediately disposing of the tissue), are important actions all can take to prevent infection. ....................................................................................................................................... So in summary, you are completely and utterly wrong in your assertion that their differences are why the flu/pneumonia numbers have not changed in the past few months, whilst Covid has. If anything, the fact that Covid is supposed to spread easier renders your suggestion even more invalid.
-
WAS.. That isn't the case now though is it?
-
What horror? It ended months ago. It's just the government, scaremongering media and idiots who think everyone is dropping dead still that prolong it. You've just presented the entire reason why the current restrictions are in place.. not because they are necessary.. but to drive you to a vaccine.
-
The rules only needed amending when certain clubs (and mine was one of them) weren't in position to take advantage that season. Very co-incidental.
-
Spot on. It was downhill from there for the Elite League, culminating in the closure of one of the sports longest running, most successful and best supported teams.
-
Correct.. the pts limit was not even an issue. It was Pawlicki.. and the conversion for riders moving up.
