Wild cards for Prague GP
garf replied to tomazpozrl's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Bet you the Danes (also a neighbour of Germany) don't have a German rider as a Wild Card. Feel sorry for Topinka, last year he gave a great wild card performance and should have been selected again. For the Copenhagen GP I would undoubtful prefer Kenneth Bjerre on a Wild Card. He is one of the future, but let us see if he gets the chance. There is, unfortunately, a lot of politics in these arrangements, so if your are not the best buddy to the decisionsmakers then you don't have a chance IMHO. KB is IMO not a rider with the personality that just says yes to everything that comes from the top, unless it fits into his plans, he has his own meaning, and sticks to it. Some people don't like that type of a rider ! ! ! -
Actual his name is spelled with an y. I'll not mention our speciel lette ø, as you probably don't have on your keyboard. Thanks Garf, I know that. I just copy/pasted the lineup I received from Krsko club. Do you think Henrik and Brian have any chance in Krsko ? Hi Tomaz! Brian is an old fox, and if his equipment is OK, everything can happen. Henrik is a young rider collecting experience, and if he has a good day he will make a good figure as well. I don't really know many of the other riders so . . . . . cya

Kenneth made another good performance yesterday evening in Denmark. He scored 13+1 in 6 heats on a very slippery track. Furthermore he was elected as "The fighter of the match" and won the extra-heat against the, supposed to be, other team's top-scorer. In this match they did put in Risager, even though he was only the no. 4 or 5 best scoring rider on Fredericia's team.

Kenneth Bjerre had a terrific performance in the match between Piraterna and Masarna in the Swedish League. KB made 14 points in 6 heat, and did only loose points to the established GP-riders Leigh Adams, Tony Richardson and Bjarne Pedersen.

The story of the 1st GP ?
garf replied to gillam's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Come on all of you fastidious ladies/girls. Just think of what you can't see happening on the telly. What about the farting? What is the problem, NP and all the others are probably having a shower before kissing their misses. And what about the celebrations after the match, where they do put a lot of champagne all over themselves ? Isn't that disgusting, or is it just an acceptable part of the game ? IMHO I find you all to sensitive. It is a tough sport and you can't expect them to use a handkerchief during the match. With all the cameras on the riders in the pit, you will see things like that all the time. -
The story of the 1st GP ?
garf replied to gillam's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think we think alike Gem Nicki's nasal activities did not go unnoticed, neither did his wiping the sweat of his armpits and immediately using the same object over his face and head yuk. Come on "LADIES". Is this the worst thing NP did at the GP in Stockholm ? If you cannot find anything negative "on the track" then go for it in the pit. Is this the strategy then ? What about football-players, doing the same on the field during the match ? The only thing about NP's performance yesterday is his use of "you know" all the times. I think you should put the focus on the ref., if there was any, instead. -

Bjarne Pedersen Wins Danish Championship
garf replied to Tiddie Woo's topic in International World of Speedway
Yeah, but KB lost the toss, and had to start outside. NP did not make any fails so KB could pass even though he did put on a lot of preassure on NP. Bjarne is the fair Champ of that competition. -

Why not go all the way to the generation even younger and mention Kenneth Bjerre ? He will definitively be one for the future, and he will qualify for the GP series this year IMO. cya

2004 Permanent Wildcards Announced
garf replied to Lioness's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I don't understand what Hans has done wrong in this season. I think he has been riding fair and square. From my point of view he has shown a lot in the last half of the GP series. Is it a personal disliking of Hans or . . . . . ? I think some of you should behave a bit. Hans is a nice bloke. -
