  1. My post was fir the benefit of pleasureboy60 or dickhead whatever he’s called
  2. What an awful thing to say. You will not find a more dedicated reliable and professional rider than Simon To say win or lose doesn’t matter to him is disgraceful and disrespectful. You are obviously just sat behind a keyboard wanting something to say Well stop knocking the riders that do turn up to ride. They ride with passion for the sport they love and dedicate their time and finances to. Riders go and put their life on the line each time they line at the tapes No points means no money earned. If your not dedicated to the sport then don’t do it. So I think you owe an apology to Simon for your stupid comments on here.
  3. Panthers89 you really know how to knock riders confidence don't you?
  4. I agree this was an absolute shambles of a meeting. Having arrived early to find there was no electricity, the track with stones all over it and riders not wanting to ride and delays galore. These events were eventually sorted out but what really got me raging was to see an 'official' tying up the large gate near the standing area (metal cage panel) from the outside car park. This clearly stated with the proper signeage that it was a FIRE EXIT. The cage had fire exit signs on it. What is this guy thinking of?? We shouted at him and pointed it out but he just walked away. Health and Safety at its best!!!! Sort this one out Stoke for y our own good. Next time we go - if ever there is a next time - it would be nice to see a well prepared track. Not a track being worked on ten minutes before the start. Shambles!!!!!
  5. Shadders you really don't deserve a speedway team to support. All you seem to do on her is moan and groan about Len, John, riders, food, drink, etc etc. I don't know who y ou are and I don't use this forum very much at all but all you seem to do is complain about everything. You obviously don't understand the mechanics of running a team and realise that the team has to score to be paid. If you are not scoring you are not earning.!!!!! Easy !. Do you think these lads go out on track and get low scores for the fun of it. Come on give them a break. Next meeting I would like to meet you and discuss a few issues with you personally.
  6. Simon did step down voluntarily at the last meeting for the sake of Rye House and a re-think for himself.
  7. Yes Simon is riding at Kent this afternoon and then travelling to Swindon to ride for Birmingham at 7.45pm tonight.
  8. 'I doubt Garry May thought so, as he sacked Stefan after the meeting! Lambert got sacked before the meeting.' Wrong Mr. M. Simon was not sacked before the meeting. He was told after the meeting. He still isn't fit from his ankle break earlier in the season and still rides with his ankle strapped and in pain. He has to get back to full fitness to ride and score like we know he can. Somerset knew this when they took him on.
  9. Isnt every speedway rider always looking for sponsors?
  10. Come on you lot dont be so negative about it all. Give the lads a chance and I hope they surprise all the people on here that are knocking them before a wheel is turned for 2013 season.
  11. To put the matter straight. When Simon was dropped from Leicester he was told by BSPA he would be able to double up and ride National and Premier League. So he committed to ride for Stoke and wait for a PL place to come along. Several PL teams approached him and asked him to ride but by then the BSPA had changed its mind and would not allow him to 'double up'. Despite approaches from several PL promoters they will not change their mind. So Simon is in a 'no win situation. Had he not been told he could do both leagues he would obviously have waited for a PL team to come along and not commit to Stoke Potters. He is a PL rider after all. And no Shadders he does not prefer the easier rides in the National League all he wants to do is be given the chance to complete the season in the Premier League and progress. Yes Rye House did jump in a bit too quick with a press release - as did plymouth a few weeks ago. The situation is out of Simons hands - he feels he has been dealt a raw deal - but he made a decision on the back of it and is committed to Stoke and will not let them down.
  12. Just hear from IoW 1st Paul Starke, 2nd Simon Lambert, 3rd James Sargeant. Sorry thats all the info I have. No scores or anything.
  13. This mud slinging at each other is going a bit too far I think and is way off the subject i.e. the track. If you cant post positive thoughts dont bother to post at all. All this personal stuff doesnt belong on here.
  14. Simon broke his scaphoid last Friday night guesting at home for Plymouth. Hes in plaster to the elbow for 6 weeks but he will be there tomorrow night cheering his team mates for the win!
  15. Unfortunately Simon broke his scaphoid at Plymouth last night and is in plaster for about 6 weeks.
