  1. i feel a bit sorry for steady,he has been vastly over rated by the likes of pearson, but i cant remember ever hearing him 'big himself up' he is a decent premier league number 1,or an elite second string, the sorry state of british speedway sees him among our nations top 8 riders, and that sees him selected in the gb team. its not his fault he is no nicki pedersen or jason crump. i'm sure the lad does his best, but his best will never be good enough at the top but give him a break
  2. we are a poor team, and had an even poorer night but do me a favour WRIGHT in the gb team, and no nicholls. ridiculous post!
  3. cant agree with this as the two riders in question performed exactly to their abilities.
  4. we are a shocking side no arguments there, but come on we wont be beaten by russia, not at vojens
  5. decent result from a gb perspective, and an even better one if your an aussie, but i diabolical result for any of us that like to see the BEST team win. speedway should be ashamed
  6. what when harris and the gb team were blatantly cheating?
  7. from todays press release,it would appear you are wrong,he does not love the booing. i'm not one for christmas pantos, but i would have assumed one booed the character, not the actor.
  8. interesting how you name nicki as the worst cheat, and nominate harris as the upholder of all things fair and true. i wonder if hans would agree, if he thought back to the dive that got him excluded in the world cup at reading
  9. QUOTE (Rob B @ Jun 30 2008, 02:36 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Most of the fans were booing him because of the way he was staying down on the track for ages each times whilst his bike was getting repaired. so is there a rider out there who jumps straight up and races to the pits, whilst his bike is in urgent need of repair?
  10. what antics? he touched the tapes and should have been excluded,he swooped across into adams and probably should have been excluded,he did the same in the semi, and again could have been excluded, but unless your a conspiricy theorist he had nothing to do with the poor refereeing decisions. he was also wiped out by holta and got up to win the re run,and got off the track quick enough for the final to continue,so i am a bit bemused by the drama queen comment. also if as suggested the medics decided to ignore him when he was supposidly lying on the floor, they should be sacked for incompetance. it is undoubtably true that riders such as nicki are far more ruthless, but all the other riders know the score, and deal with him accordingly, they dont need the assistance of thousands queuing up to stick the boot in
  11. then we will have to agree to disagree,i think the booing was of a personal nature, and is tantamount to bullying.in many ways booing and jeering of this nature is worse than racist jeering, because it is uniquely personal. nicki may appear to play it off as you say,but what other choice does he have? i would imagine he was deeply hurt and shocked by events, and would be surprised to see him eager to return to britain.
  12. personally i thought the only thing worse than the refereeing last night was moronic members of the crowd booing nicki pedersen. the man is world champion, was a great servant to british speedway for many years until the ludicrous points limit forced him out,and who in an attempt to entertain us last night ended up on the floor on four occasions. he deserves respect, and the lynch mob should stick to cock fighting and dog baiting, true sports for the yob and bully
