What Is Going On At Leicester ?
jim the whipper replied to djp45's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Correct !!! only the Dumb ones are from the Leicester idiots. -
oh right ho kev . I'll go back where I came from and you can listen to Nikko , no doubt the NL will continue to thrive as it has over the last few years , especially with such knowledgable people as yourself at the helm .
-
That just shows how you have joined the thread at the last minute and not taken the time to read any of the other posts. way back at the beginning of this thread I said that as the NL was an equal part of speedway , the supporters ,riders, sponsors, promoters would have to be patient and wait while the running of the sport was sorted out , it was the posters on here who said otherwise , so have a rant at their lack of knowledge of the sport .straight after you apologise to me for jumping the gun and not taking the time to acqauaint yourself with the full facts of the debate
-
What are you waiting for? I cannot see the problem, most of the posters on here claim that the Problems between Cov/Pet and the bspa have nothing to do with the national league and that the NL needs to be sorted right now , so just crack on , after all the Elite league and Premier league have nothing to do with you . so why are they holding you back ?
-
Fair enough neither you nor apparently the chairman of the national leaque can see why the problems of 2 elite clubs should hold up the planning of the national league . neither can I , so instead of complaining on here and in speedway star , why don't all of you get a room in a pub somewhere and hold your AGM .
-
Would that be the same Nicky Mallet who had his promoters license taken off him for abuse on a social networking site . and who was seen fighting with a supporter at Newport ?
-
Ok do you want the National league to be accepted as part of what we know in this country as speedway , and the owners of the 2 tracks to be members of the BSPA , a simple enough question because if you do, regardless of your impatience you'll will have to wait until the problems of the higher tiers of the sport are sorted , when that has been achieved the owners of the rest of the tracks may be able to take the time to look into the running of the national league , of course if you would prefer not to be considered as part of the overall sport then it's simple hold your agm with whoever is available make up some rules between yourselves and get on with your calendar for 2011.
-
more likely than from the national league thats for sure.
-
Well spotted sarcasm it most certainly was . the nl supporters seem like they want to have their cake and eat it (at least the ones who post on here do. they dont want to be involved with the rest of speedway while it's problems get sorted but once they are , they want to be treated as an equal part of the sport. as i see it you either take the good with the bad or you make your own arrangements

Looks like the war is over and the two sides are just taking time writng a statement that looks like neither loses face. On monday the national League can declare it's independence from speedway . That should please the posters who don't think the 3rd tier has any need to be influenced by the decisions made affecting the EL and PL . this year you can hold your Agm on 1st nov ,draw up all the rules and regs for 2012 and then keep holding EGMs every week until you know what riders and teams will be taking part in the 2012 national league.
-
I don't believe all the problems will be sorted . but this is the first time for many years when a situation has arisen where the way speedway is run has come under scrutiny , maybe the end result will be just 2 clubs rejoining the elite league. but I don't think Sandhu and Frost will wish to see the money spent on legal assistance go to waste now that they have come this far . and if nothing else the way the sport is run will have to be added to some agenda either now or in the near future. I can understand people getting a little impatient however the future of two elite clubs are more important than the fixture list of the national league in my estimation
-
If you don't give them time to sort speedways problems out . theres no point in your kids getting started because the way things have been going there will be no speedway for them to get involved in. self interest is what brought speedway to where it is now ..........on it's knees !this mess affects everybody in speedwaqy and everybody needs to show a little patience until it's sorted that includes you .
-
yes of course it is . it's a bit daft to expect the riders to wait until we know if 2 elite clubs can sort out their problems and whether they are running or not ,and if the legal challenge about the way the whole sport is run finally breaks up the corrupt boys club , The national league and it's riders are far more important than issues relating to the running of speedway as a whole , and those of 2 elite league teams.
-
Absolultely not . for the first time in many years , the whole of british speedway is being looked at in detail. would you like another load of ill conceived rules brought into force because you cannot wait a couple of weeks until the running of the sport has at least a decent chance of being sorted properly . theres still 10 weeks before the season starts whats the hurry ? british speedway is in a total shambles and stumbling on as it is to appease a few supporters who have no patience is certainly not going help that situation at all.

I did'nt really expect a defense for Barker as he more than likely told the young lad to spit on the Poles . I certainly would not have "got him out of there" I would have left him to get what will come to him and his hangers on sooner or later . -
