Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!! After last weeks meeting on Sky new people would of turned up for sure. I heard so many people in the car park who were angry at the fact no one from the Somerset management had the decency to apologise to the crowd! Yes the track was wet, but you could see the slush was taken off by the blade but he hadn't even been allowed to finish!!!??? Why haven't I been to a speedway meeting for months...? Now I remember. Meetings being called off for being too wet on the years hottest day??? Joke

Had to put more money on than I like too last night with 2 heats to go and save my betting balance! Learnt a lesson. What is everyone thinking about tonights meeting? Close one ill go Birmingham -3

Big differences tonight. Bet365 have the Poole v Lakeside meeting at +-12 and Bet Victor have it +-17. Think I will go for Lakeside +17

I don't understand how its financially viable? Id imagine the atmosphere is pretty awful aswell. But its dry at least

I wonder what the crowd will be like at the GP this year, surely its not going to be bigger than previous years!! I would put my money on it being smaller by quite a few thousand! With the prices of the tickets, the way the GP's have gone so far this year and the obvious being the economic climate. Its not the sort of event family or friends can now "out of the blue" go too because they have an empty weekend coming up because it takes a while to get a loan out Also they only seem to advertise this event during speedway programmes on sky! Im quite sure that over 90% of people watching that programme know about the GP, where it is etc and telling us how exciting and thrilling it is isnt going to excite majority of people who watch speedway most weeks! What is everyone else's opinion?

I still dont see how anybody can knock the millenium stadium, with its city centre location. Also the viewing from inside the stadium its one of the best in the world considering the size of the place. And then there is the roof, which means you have guarnteed speedway aswell as fantastic atmosphere in the closed arena. So if you can complain about this place, god knows what else you complain about.

Do you think they can get a sellout this year? well.. with an advert like the one on sky this year cant see that happening
