  1. I would have thought that Speedway Updates would follow it, but it doesn't appear to have a thread yet... http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=GP
  2. From the BSPA website; Friday April 24, 2009 NEW Great Britain boss Rob Lyon is turning to the youngsters ahead of this summer’s Speedway World Cup. Lyon, who took over the reins from Jim Lynch during the winter, has included several Under-21 stars including Tai Woffinden, who made his Great Britain debut in last year’s World Cup. Ben Barker and Lewis Bridger, who will do battle alongside Woffinden in Friday’s British Under-21 Championship at Lakeside, are also included. And Lyon has also confirmed the appointment of Scott Nicholls as skipper of the side – despite the rider himself sitting out British racing to cut down on his demanding schedule. Said Lyon: “When I took the job I said we were looking at a long-term plan and that’s why we’ve turned to the younger lads. “When you look down the squad I think people can see we have a bright future as a nation.” Lyon will reduce the squad closer to the July tournament and each meeting features five riders in a team. SQUAD: Oliver Allen Ben Barker Lewis Bridger Chris Harris Edward Kennett Danny King Scott Nicholls © Lee Richardson Joe Screen Simon Stead Tai Woffinden James Wright No doubt there'll be the usual..What's the point we won't win anything...blah ,blah, moan, moan and bitch but........ On current form I'd be choosing; Scott Nicholls © Chris Harris Eddie Kennett Lee Richardson Tai Woffinden
  3. Can I change it back to Scott Nicholls please Pete..
  4. From the newly revamped and very smart Speedway World, he has been suffering from a virus...so god knows what we'll get on Saturday http://speedwaygp.com/en/index
  5. I'll go back and change it...sowwy Can I change my mind again.... If so, when's the cut off please...?
  6. They will certainly have attempted it .. I suggest that Paulco meets up with you, so as not to be led astray PS...remember, you can't smoke weed in the UK, you'll get nicked...
  7. Can I swap Scott Nicholls for Chris Harris please Ballinger?
  8. Yes thanks Pete Leigh Adams £45,000 Captain Hans Andersen £ 45,000 Scott Nicholls £ 45,000 Freddie Lindgen £30,00 AJ £35,000
  9. Ooh good, I was hoping we'd have another comp this year.. whoever does it
  10. I do wish Sky covered these meetings. Will there be a live link for it do we know?
  11. Tom Jones and those two... That I like very much. Jeez they'd sell more tickets too...not a cat in hells chance though
  12. He stopped in the same hotel as us last year ,don't know if he's there again this year? We didn't see much of him though...the lightwieght had to go back to bed after breakfast on the Saturday ( apparently) ...
  13. Absolutely!!! The situation was avoidable people paid for an event/product that should have gone ahead, were it not for complete negligence from BSI. I didn't go this year, alot of my friends decided to give it another go after last year and I can honestly say that I've had texts tonight that would make you cry! Not only was there no meeting, but they've had their weekend away ruined The circus has been shown to be a Circus....what a shame.
  14. Actually that a good point, what was the need to cancel it then...?
  15. Ultimately somebody has to take responsibility for this farce, Olsen is the race director is he not...? Nowt will happen though, it never does
  16. I'd be more concerned about whats going to happen to the CS final meetings that are due to be held next Thursday and Friday!! With Hans, Bomber and AJ riding in the GP, what will Lakeside and Coventry do now?? After the poor organisation last year I swore I'd never go back to Gelsenkirchen....didn't quite expect this though...absolute disgrace!!! I feel so sorry for the people that have wasted money to get out there
  17. Bad decision or not, it made little difference to his all round score, he was rubbishe!!!
  18. I suppose that depends on what you want from the Hotel. It's location is paramount for us and it's within our budget, so to us it's not a ripoff.
  19. We booked online for the Holiday Inn for next year, we also stayed there this year. We had to pay all of it up front, we knew that when we booked...However I saw an advert in the Speedway star last week, offering cheap deals for the Holiday in...maybe you could cancel and then book again?
  20. A mere blip Mr Sam, a mere blip... Bert are you open to a bit of bribery..?
  21. Even the most deluded are getting mighty fed up now. Neither of them deserve a place next year, cos you can gaurantee it will be down to nominations ( again) . I've not always seen eye to eye with Subedei, but on this I do agree with him. Neither of them bothered to go through the qualifying process, so neither of them deserve a place. Anyway, last night was boring. One or two highlights- all the hilarious comments from Johnno apart...
