Bees_Man replied to Main Man's topic in National League Speedway
Looking like a watered down team / league. Hoping the crowds still turn out as its hardly appealing when you compare to previous years. -

Rossiter just tweated that all hell is breaking out at the agm - more self interest I bet! -
Couldn't make it up could you 😉

Lads gave it a go but generally it was a very poor and drawn out night.

I think the team will be very well supported. An awful lot of people seem unhappy with the el team which will only help swell the numbers for the storm!

Reading Host World Cup?
Bees_Man replied to Rema & Ben's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Taken from the CET : * COVENTRY have turned down the chance to host both the race-off and final of the 2006 Speedway World Cup. John Postlethwaite, chief executive of BSI, the rights holders of the SWC, wanted to stage the meetings at Brandon, but Bees were unable to accommodate the final on Saturday July 22 because of greyhound commitments. They offered either Friday, July 21, or Sunday, July 23, but the TV scheduling requires the meeting to be staged on Saturday. It is now set to take place at Reading, the new Elite League track acquired by BSI during the winter. -

Gb Get Speedway Wc Final 2006!
Bees_Man replied to Brightonbob's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Why its a shed ! -
Maybe this was the real reason why John Postlethwaite was at Brandon for the Play off Final. Maybe having a chat with Sandhu and to look at the facilities. He did say how impressed he was when interviewed on Sky! Also it was mentioned in the Coventry paper the other week that Coventry could be in line for the final? So who knows!

Seems that the Coventry Management have / are inviting thee 88 team plus Ole Olsen over to the meeting Friday.. You coming Rick ?
-
Why so late in the year?
-
We have noticed Josh at Brandon now for the last two weeks, the first in which he was riding after the meeting. Last week he was hanging around Rory and Sandhu all meeting wearing a Coventry Bees Jacket. Is Josh still too young to sign for a professional club or is this just speculation?

Rory Set To Ride In World Cup
Bees_Man replied to Bees_Man's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No I don't think so. -
It was interesting to hear Rory say last night at Coventry that he will probably be riding for Aussie in the world cup. Is that the comeback of comebacks !
