Well done to your boys. From what I seen, they thoroughly deserved it. Just a point to note here, I see a couple of posts saying that you hope it'll kick start your season. In 3 of the last 4 years, the winner of the pairs has won the premier league. Only Scunthorpe missed out in 2012, when their pair came second. Best of luck for the rest of the season and well done.

Why do Barker, King, Stead and Kennet not get the same crap Cookie gets for riding in the premier league!?! Baffles me, that!
-
So I see. Ha ha For what it's worth, they actually got away with him being a 5 pointer. He should actually have been in on a 7 point average due to him riding in the danish superliga but we'll not go there. There both good kids, I'm genuinely not having a go at Brady or Jack and I sincerely hope Jack can get fixed up, it's just a shame that they (or he rather) need to go through this period of uncertainty due to a mistake on the clubs behalf.

No worries. 👍

Hahahahaha. Categoric proof. You've lost the place pal. It's not a court. I'm telling you what's happened, you can believe it if you like or you can keep your rebels tinted specks on. Either way, I don't really care.
-
Yes, I do. And I'll tell you why, because that's exactly what's happened.
-
Keep the head mate. Do you honestly believe that's happened. They've said, Yep... Carry on. 5 points is good. I know we agreed 7 points last week but yeah, bash on. Only to change their mind the following day.
-
Yep, and it was flipped to being the girl in the offices fault. My point was, that the promoter should have spoke to either Alex or George directly instead of making them all out to be the bad ones here.
-
Why would a promoter take the word from "a girl in the office" as you say. Why wouldn't they go to the BSPA representative directly. They have each other's phone numbers. That's the real question here. As far as the BSPA changing the gradings, we had control of this until the saga with the tier 5 visas! Who was at the centre for that controversy again?
-
That's not strictly true though, is it? Why would they need to call up the BSPA office to ask for clarification when they were told at the conference it would be 7 and exactly who are we classing as the BSPA here, one of the girls in the office!?! For me, the promoter who called, knew that the rule book would be checked, knew exactly what the book said (as the new ones hadn't been updated) and thought they could chance it putting the poor girl in the office in an absolutely horrendous position now. But saying that, who wouldn't chance it. Especially when they got away with building a 44.5 team last season too.

Errrrrmmmmm....... No. That's kind of why I'm asking!?!

This was his home championship, but are you certain that history applies?

What one did he finish in the top 3 in?

The last time he was here he was using a borrowed bike that had been brought to tracks in the back of a car.... Plus he had just turned 16. There is a lot of hype, without a doubt and it will take time to adjust, he definitely knows that but the lad has the talent and attitude to do well. He hopes to maintain his 5 point average and build from there. -
Yeah, Tommy is definitely Scottish. A couple of things here. Let be honest, there is absolutely no one we could have brought in that would be able to compete with the 2 Workington reserves. I'm not being defeatist, more realistic. They both used to ride for us. What would be the point in paying for someone up from down south to score nothing. I'm delighted Tommy is getting another chance to see what the PL is all about. The lad has worked his backside off this season to try to make a foothold for himself in the sport. His attitude and effort is genuinely first class and is learning week in, week out. It's not even been a year since he first sat on a speedway bike yet.
