I'll be sat at home watching it. Doubt very much that any of the pubs here in York would show it to be honest. Its not like we have a local team as such.

Been a PL team supporter I cant really cheer on a particular rider so Im in camp A. Last year I nearly lost my voice shouting for Bomber and Steady! If the Brit boys dont get through to the final rounds then its Crumpy for me, noone deserves that World Championship more!!

What did I get what Splatty? I was sat in my waterproof (girl guide style!) and soggy jeans for most of the night. Spent the first hour before the supposed start wandering round drapped in a union jack then hid under a tree to stay dry(ish)! At least at Cardiff we can stay dry with the magic roof. xx

Got back late last night from our weekend adventure - cant believe the rain!! We had cracking seats (posh eh?) on the start finish straight, right behind Matt Ford - he was obviously never a boy scout turning up to a meeting where its pegging it down in a suit jacket and pin strip trousers!! Hope all the rain didnt spoil his hair! Wish i'd known where everyone was so we could have met up - it would have been great to see you all. I was the one walking round with my union jack drapped over me in an attempt to keep me dry! Roll on Cardiff, hope Scotty's back with us by then!

We're at the Olympic but no idea what we're doing after the GP. See what mood we're in and what takes our fancy!

Travel Plus put their "brouchure" in the Speedway Star sometime in January. I went with them to the ill fated Gothenburg GP last year and they were fab at sorting everything out when the brown stuff started to hit the fan.

I did Cardiff and Gothenburg last year. Sweden is VERY expensive and there are only so many things you can do. This year its Cardiff again and a trip to Prague hopefully for me. Has anyone heard any more about BSI giving out freebie / cheapo tickets to those who went to Gothenburg and couldnt go back the following weekend for the rerun? There was a rumour that we would get tickets to the GP of our choice next season and a programme if I remember right!

Sorry TTF but dont agree with you on that on. He was so relaxed about it at the last GP saying that he was just glad to be up there with the best of 'em. For determination Crumpy has to win hands down.

Would love to see Crumpy win, but we all know what he's like with his gremlins. I hope his mechanic has every angle covered on Sat night (for his own sake!!) Personally I dont think that Nikki deserves it just yet. Give him a couple more years on the GP scene and yeah he'll deserve it. I heard at the beginning of the season that if Crumpy didnt win it this year he would never win it and would bow out of the series. Roll on Saturday!!!!

That would make for a good meeting! Lets hope that Lee can fair slightly better than this year - he's definately had his share of bad luck but with some moments of genius thrown in! I suppose asking for Mark Loram to finish 3rd would be a bit much?

Ohhh the possibilities!!! How is a girl supposed to choose? Me thinks that a trip to cardiff is def on for next year and then Prague (with my free ticket from John Poshbloke!). Lets hope that Scotty gets his first win in front of his home crowd - how fab would that be!!!!! Two GP's in GB would be fab but i have no idea where they would stage the second. Somewhere up North would be nice but you have to juggle the dodgy weather!

I'd love to see Scotty get to the final but think that the semi's will be as far as he gets this time round. Is it true he's injured?? As for the final I'd have money on Gollob (info on that would be good as my pc wont let me get onto speedwaybet.com). iF its true that the track is been specially prepared, it should prove interesting watching. I would love to see Tony Rick out early on cos I think that for the good of the sport we need a different Champ this year. Crumpy is working hard to get it a I think he deserves it more than Tony. My prediction would be: 1/ Gollob 2/ Crumpy 3/ Adams 4/ Pederson My guess is as good as the next person! Good luck to you all. Raq

How peeved am I??? Ok so the racing wasnt exactly fab and the track looked worse than what we've got at Hull but whey hey - my boy Scotty gets a second!!! It makes up for the farce last week and if I get my freebie ticket for next year as Posh bloke promises then Im happy. The crowd last night didnt look that bothered about what was happening at all. Maybe they were just annoyed that the lovely start girls didnt hand pick them to escort the lads onto the infield (oh isnt sarcasm great)

I was there on Saturday, my first GP abroad. Gutted that we didnt see any speedway and it didnt help that my home team lost when I went to see them on Wednesday either. We walked down to the stadium on Sunday and had a long chat with Ole. He was big on the damage limitation thing and couldnt stop saying that it wasnt the riders decision to not race but theirs. They didnt want the racing to go ahead and someone get hurt and then have to stop. It was interesting to hear what he had to say and thats where the figure of £2 million loss to BSI was mentioned. It doesnt make up for last week but the offer of a free ticket for next year is some consellation I suppose. I'll be more annoyed if Scotty wins his first GP this weekend and I miss it!!!

Gredon - where did you hear about BSI offering tickets for next year for those who cant make it back on Saturday?? We had Greg and Tony Rickardson in our hotel - there for breakfast on Saturday but Mr R mysteriously disappeared and was never to be seen again!!! Coward :evil:

I went with TP tours and they have promised us a full refund of tickets but not sure about what else. We are waiting to hear from them as to what next. Give them their dues - they were brilliant on the night and couldnt stop apologising even though its not their fault. It was my first trip abroad to see a GP and I will go again - but not to Gothenburg. Any recommendations to where I should head to next year???

I couldnt agree more - Saturday night was a farce and by announcing this GP for the fans this week its like rubbing salt in the wounds. There is no way I can get back to Gothenburg for this weekend and feel that Im missing out. Maybe we need to bring this to Mr P's attention. I heard that he lost nearly £2million as a result of Saturday so surely some freebie tickets for next year wouldnt hurt that much for us poor souls who travelled all that way. Oh just pass me a soap box - I could talk about this all day!!!!
