What's the problem?
I was only answering a question posed by another poster, besides, I found it quite interesting; many members of my family, including my parents, went to New Cross every week, today was the first time I have ever been there and, save for a quirk of fate that put me in the area, I might never have gone there.
Now I could understand if I'd posted pictures of a derelict but basically intact stadium that, but for the lack of a few quid and a few NIMBYs, could be resurrected, but I can't see the point of getting overly precious about a place that hasn't held a race for 46 years and where almost no evidence exists that it was ever there.
Actually, it's quite refreshing. It sits like an oasis of greenery in a desert of bland housing blocks, so at least it's still capable of providing some small piece of relaxation or entertainment for the locals; better that than another faceless trading estate, which seems to be the fate of many defunct tracks.
