It was said at the end of the season that the council are working with the Comets to find somewhere and want to keep speedway in Workington, time will tell. Still needs investment though. I don’t think football fans are keen on the new one.
-
Agree with you both, unfotunately.
-
It’s not but I don’t think a surprise. Hope someone comes forward http://www.workingtoncomets.co/news/article.asp?id=101054

Birmingham Brummies 2019

Possibly but I think he rode for Hull too after the Comets. Have a trip up next season, lot different from Birmingham. -
Not saying it won’t be Rene but he does have a job, did last season anyway. Rode great last few meetings.
-
Yeh, fair enough, I expect a lot were surprised that Charles left, hope Kyle has a better year than last.
-
That’s not a reason
-
Bit quiet on here, anyway best wishes to all fans and teams of The Comets and all other clubs. Thanks to the Comets management and may next season run smoothly.
-
I’m sure CW would have been welcome back at DP, good top 3.
-
Welcome to both, good luck
-
Yep, double the excitement, roll on 5
-
I simply meant a better deal which means more money.
-
We’re all very disappointed that Razza’s gone, he had some great races round DP and has a very likeable character. It’s hard for riders to turn down money though if nothing was signed.
-
He will notice a change having ridden for two comparitively local tracks. Now if Newcastle were to go up, ideal for him, or the Comets, better still, but unlikely.
-
Getting back to Simon Lambert, he rode well here last time he came, I know he hasn't done well away from reserve at Peterboro, maybe a change would do him good, maybe not. There's always riders who do better than expected and vice versa. If it is him lets give the lad a chance, the club will be unlikely to go back on a deal they may have made.
-
Welcome back Tero, Newcastle will miss you.
-
Next signing to be announced tonight at 5 o'clock, it seems that Tero is coming, but I don't think tonight. Stevie Worral is a great signing, well done getting him.
-
I’ve noticed the Comets headline on back of Times And Star is larger than the Reds one which is above it. Nothing against the Reds but good and deserved, as is more support next season.
-
You rascal!
-
Without looking back, I think THJ gave that impression, maybe Mason would be surprised too. Having said that if most of them are going to be around the same average then maybe, roll on the next one.. S. Worral has been mentioned elsewhere in relation to the Comets..
-
Welcome Bradley Wilson Dean!
-
Charles Wight still available, would be great to see Rasmus back though.
-
Third rider to be announced at 5pm.
-
As expected, good to have him back.
