This team looks dangerously vulnerable to me with only Iversen dependable. The others can all blow hot and cold and could do anything from 0 to 10 points. I would have thought trying to go direct to the final would be every nation's ambition and to do that Nicki is a must.

Anyone who turned down a permanent wild card for this series does not deserve a nomination this year. I suspected all along that Ward's decision not to enter the GP this year was more to do with his personal problems than the Polish ruling and understandably so. With his future uncertain it would have been pointless trying to race for the world title and/or top eight qualification and possibly have to miss the latter half of the series. However, now that he has the green light I'm afraid he should take the consequences and wait until next year.

So there will be 15 qualifiers to the final. Who does the 16th place go to?

Should easily have qualified in that field I think with nine places available plus one reserve place out of 16. But also surprised at Piotr Pawlicki

How many qualify? I think Harris, Watt and Sundstrom should top that lot (if Woffinden doesn't ride). Masters as an outsider, will either get 4 or 14.

Whilst I do enjoy a good grammar and spelling observation, it always pays to ensure your retort isn't filled with errors too. Regarding Hampel, word is he has broken his leg and dislocated his ankle (possibly broken and dislocated ankle) and is expected to be out for at least six weeks. Riding with it broken really depends how complicated the break is and I suspect Hampel's is a good deal worse than Carter's was.
