  1. Yes,that is probably it.He went off in the hope that Artem's natural racing instinct would get the better of him and he would lose control trying to catch Tai,thus handing the win to us. Best theory I have heard so far
  2. But fans matter and fans were complaining as soon as it was announced how the final worked and fan voted with their feet,it was plain to see......ignore fans opinions and you end up with empty stadia. Then you end up with few sponsors, then you end up in trouble.....
  3. Let's not forget that Emil had already finished last twice and in the previous meeting Lambert did finish ahead of him!!!
  4. See Rob Lambert is riding in front of a much bigger crowd today than the previous 2 days!!!
  5. Exactly as I posted I hope you are ok Phil,as I am getting a bit worried by some of your posts lately He has been known as Liglad since I first saw him when he was about 13 or so.Probably before that....surprised as a speedway journalist you don't know that https://www.ligladracing.dk/michael-liglad-profil
  6. Exactly.Robert was right up Emil’s arris, not left for dead
  7. The thing is,it didn’t matter in previous heats, did it?If Tai got a 3-3 by winning the heat,it was the same as letting the leader go and helping Robert finish 3rd.Only harder work 4 third places and another one would have given us the title. It was worth a try at least seeing as Robert had done it 4 times already!!!
  8. And what with the two nights in Poland?Ok the first night there was a football game.....Will there be a problem in speedway crazy Poland seeing this event created specifically to stop them winning? That is what happened and maybe BSI have alienated the Polish fans more than most with this new event
  9. One of the poorest posts on this debate.Do you really think Tai had that in mind?
  10. Guess it may be a generational thing, and us older fans can remember riders helping their team mates in such positions.More frustrating even when Tai had made great efforts in previous heats. It can be done,it has been done and it was really the best if not only sensible option. Just riding off on front was maybe Tai’s way of showing his rivals he is the best at the moment?Even the night after,I still find the decision strange in a team event with the rule as it stood
  11. On another note,I hope Tai now goes on to win the world title this year and Lambert the I21 title and tomorrow we have all 3 riders qualified for the European 250cc final. The future.as o said before looks promising
  12. No he done brilliant,he won the race, but that was rendered meaningless if you consider the rules, which maybe he should have. But brilliant from Tai
  13. We had at least a silver with a chance of gold. Now going off on your own does very little to help the chance of gold....that was mentioned a number of times before today’s meeting even started.I just wonder why on earth he chose that path rather than helping our chances, even if only slightly.Surely that was the best choice?
  14. Obviously we wpuldn’t be having this discussion if it was race winner!Trouble is,and I am pointing out the bleeding obvious here,it wasn’t
  15. Obviously you have a problem understanding not only my,but others posts as well, which is incredible for a long time journalist!!It is legitimate to question his tactic after all the brilliant work he has done over the past two meetings
  16. Bit strange to go for the win after all his great moves previously, but congrats to them both on a well earned silver
  17. The SON is also dead with the crowds it has attracted
  18. Tbh I thought he could have clamped Jensen out in the fence, but he was too quick and dived inside.Small mistake
  19. Probably right, just guessed Sid couldn’t see it in Swindon either. It is like a foreign country now anyway according to him.Oh,little bit of politics there lil
  20. Speedway GP Site.Watched last night, dodn’t miss a beat until heat 12 when I had to use a Russian stream instead
  21. But seems a bit much to have a final yet again in Poland next year, but if they have a signed contract then what is there to debate? Are we heading for yet more nonsense?
  22. Agree with that.Superb from both riders and the meeting was great I must say.But the poor crowd tells its own story.Guess it will be better tonight, but the poor performance from the Poles has probably spoilt a bumper crowd. Not many are going to want to see them finish 4th or so.We can get great racing in the bauhaus pairs meeting, but it still doesn’t mean it captures the public’s interest Ehat we seem to have if we listen to Phil is a comp that some countries want, but not many fans are interested in.And the bottom line is,we have to run meetings for fans, not officials.Nobody can really be happy with pictures of an empty stadium Just hope the best team wins in the end.And hope that is Tai and Robert
  23. Think that was a mistake to put Cook in,even though Denmark aren't too good.Maybe thought it was a good chance to give him a heat, but Lambert was on the pace-Get some points on the board first.....
  24. Was a very good race.Huckebeck looking good then a wipe out.And will they both be fit enough to get through this meeting, let alone two days?I hope so But this for me was the clash for last place or better
