Think you are right.I have a Hackney photo with a rider in green,but don't know who it is.Schofield,Galvin and Whittaker are in the same photo There are a few riders who wear green here in Germany.Kevin Wölbert for one and i think Okoniewski also wears green.Might be to do with the Boll sponsorship

Seen a few pics of Ole Olsen with early sponsorship.He had an Ole Olsen-Duckhams body colour on in one of Briggos books taken in the early 70s(70 or 71 i think).Plus i have a couple of pics of not only him but Finn Thomsen with Jawa on their leathers.Maybe Finn was wearing an old pair of Ole's.They are from 73-74.Also i have a pics of Garry Middleton in 73 with Lewis(i imagine Lewis Leathers)on both arms and just underneath is what looks to be the Shell emblem. Not so sure when Sparshott was wearing white leathers but there were quite a number with white leathers i think.Maybe not mayn with green leathers but Ray Morton had green leathers in his Wimbledon days.Seem to remember Peter Collins having very colourful leathers(often changed)during that 73-76-ish.Maybe my memory is not so good but i thought he had some with green in there as well.Sort of multi-coloured thick bands

Well in the Wimbledon team photo of 1973 there are no riders with the classic black leathers.Only Neil Cameron has mainly black with red/yellow bands on his arms. Edit:Actually the 72 team was also multi coloured apart from Neil Cameron as well

Yes i agree,it was good from all of the western riders.Good to see Tuinstra back among the points as well.Sure i read somewhere that they had a 7 day journey on the train to get there.And most if not all the western riders would have been on borrowed bikes

According to the latest news on the Beru web-site dated today there will only be 1 Golden Spike meeting.To translate the article For 2008 there were 4 meetings planned in the series.Steingaden(D),St.Johann(A),Flims(CH) and a meeting in Finland.Because of the very high price of petrol the nominated riders ruled a meeting in Finland out. MSC Steingaden decided to run their own Open meeting on the 6th january.And so St.Johann and Flims decided to put the series on ice and like this year just run the one meeting.That will be on the 19th january at Flims. I didn't see Henrik ride this year-I can't remember seeing him anyway Well Nicolai had a few injury problems.The first couple of months he had a shoulder problem from a crash and then coming back injured it again.Then in Vojens he was hit by Gomolski's bike and broke a bone in his chest.He did win the European U19 championship,but never really got going in the league.In any of the leagues i think
