i couldn't give a monkeys if youre white yellow purple or dark blue with pink spots, I couldn't give a rats arse if you're bent, straight, zig zagged or striped.., I couldn't care a less if you go to church every 3rd Sunday, how many sugars you take or what tog quilt you have in the summer...I'm botherd about looking after, protecting and involving those vulnerable in our society, such as pensioners, disabled and the like.... Bollox to your equality and self righteous selfishness... Look after those that need it, give help and support those less fortunate... Put others before ourselves... Is it too much to ask??... Is it too much to drag ourselves away from literal thinking in this day and age?? Surely not??.... Maybe I'm just different to you? Is this really about equality or is it about you feeling hard done too? Because you're treat different by someone paying a few quid less?? Sorry state of affairs if so. i use a range of volunteers, befrienders, advocates and paid carers.... Even so the paid carers wouldn't be paying out of their own pocket, the client would have to pay for themselves and for the carer.... The carers ( paid) will go wherever and whenever that goes without saying....but they shouldn't be expected to pay to support a person to wherever and that's my point really.... The cost to the disabled person needing a carer.

good post, but from experience carers support people to places because the disabled person needs support, ive many volunteers who go many places that they have absolutely no interest in, they do it to enable others to meet their wishes, beliefs, religion and hobbys... Not for personal gain, yes there are a few things in common between carers and clients but mostly not.

you haven't a clue what your talking about and are stereo typing all disabled people in to you're own pathetic brand!! I work with several people who rely on volunteers to take them out in the community, attend appointments and fullfill daily tasks, ....people who couldn't communicate half of the waffle you spout in your post.... If we are being sterotyped then you're ill informed, Typical of society today.... No one is asking for pity or sympathy!!

kids go free up to a certain age at most places, then get a concession.... How many cases do you know of where the parent only goes to support the child?? Most parents are fans in the first place and I bet 9 times out of 10 the carer has no interest in speedway whatsoever.

why do you charge carers neil?? Thus doubling the cost for the disabled person who will have to pay the carers entry in most cases.... Without the carer, the disabled person doesn't attend so surely one paying concession rate is better than nothing at all??

i agree I think it's a good appointment but I think it's a bit unfair on young riders to say if they can't learn from joe they never will.... Or similar....

So how is having joe as manager a masterstroke??.... Havvy was a great rider arguably better than joe...but didnt cut much ice as a manager last season.... Btw going by joes twitter he gave plenty advice up at Glasgow.... Does it matter what position at the club he is?? For all we know joes advice or man management might be crap yet people automatically think he will be great because he was a decent rider...
