Was at the Gneizno Slask meeting yesterday on bend one, it was the most shocking/horrific accident I've ever seen. After initial screams and gasps from a healthy crowd the stadium went completely silent and remained so. It was obvious immediately that the meeting would be abandoned. From where we were it looked like poor Patryk had clipped the end of the concrete stand before descending about 30 feet. Fair play to the Gneizno track staff though, they cleared the centre green of many hoardings in good time to allow for the arrival of the imminent helicopter. Wishing the young lad all the best and I do hope he can make a full recovery.

Have been to Wroclaw 3 times and always managed to get seats in the main stand. 2023 was the last time there and non season tickets were released for sale 2 weeks prior to the meeting at the time. Latterly have been to Torun and Rzeszow, the airport at Rzeszow is surrounded by mobile Patriot missiles, which was a bit of an eye opener.

So do I.. -
Just got back from my first trip to Torun (twinned with Swindon) vs Wroclaw. Weather hot, nice town if a bit touristy. Great stadium, 5K from town centre and a decent meeting. Struggled to find a proper bar in the town initially until we came across Pub Przepompownia, pints at 9ZL and Jim Beam & Coke for 10ZL, much cheaper than anywhere else. They put the Sunday XL meetings on the TV for us too. Recommended for anyone travelling there, pub is on the same road as the White Bull Steakhouse heading towards the river on the other side of the road just before the last restaurant (also good). Went to Bydgoszcz too, very much quieter.

Hans Andersen retires

It wasn't that long ago that Swindon had Hans at 1 with Doyle at 2. Always enjoyed watching Hans, whoever he rode for. I'm sure he had the Stones tongue logo on his kevlars on occasion. -
Read this morning that Pawlicki is likely to leave Sparta next year and they'll keep Tai.
