  1. Denmark winning and GB second came as no surprise. So the battle was between USA's a-team and Swedens c-team. I can't see why on earth the joker didn't go to Ljung. Oh well, it'll be between GB and Oz thursday and Denmark and Poland come saturday.
  2. Viasat Motor came through, luckily. An ok meeting with hardly any surprises.
  3. Anywhere for a slightly desperate norwegian fella to watch this meeting? Stream or pay-per-view or anything? Viasat Motor has't put up anything on their program after yesterdays cancellation, and now I'm starting to sweat a little...
  4. I'm rooting for Lindbäck this time out, but his performances in Indianerna has not been convincing lately. Nicki seems to be in good shape at the moment, AJ is doing well in Dackarna, but this is not a regular track, and well prepared it should be anyones race. There are reports of showers during the day, but sunny before and after. Let's hope it not going to be a mudslide like last year. Hopes for the evenig: -Lindbäck -Hancock -Crump -Johnsson
  5. I know this question was ment for Maddas69, but I get a feeling that if Holta had been in a British club, he would have a better chance to get in the GP's at least now when DW and PP are turning down their spots. But he does not ride in Britain, so...
  6. Happy to see Holta back in the Indianarna vest again. Kylmäkorpi and Holta are two of my favourites, and I've allways been partial to the Indians. Damn shame that there are so many, many months left until the tapes will rise again.
  7. Why not just give Lindgren and Harris a permanent WC for the next, oh say three years or so, so we'll avoid disapointment year after year. I don't like that NP got one aswell (rumored all of this), but at least he has some merit to show for it.
  8. I would say that the world champion should have the right to defend his title, but everyone else should have to go through qualifiers, perhaps with a WC for each meeting. The qualifying rounds should also be held the same year as the competition itself, and not nearly a year from it. But should-have-beens and if's and but's are another thing. The system is the way it is.
  9. One more rainy day... And what a horrible, horrible day for a Holta fan. Oh well. Eyes forward to next year.
  10. Number 4 in the world is potential plenty. A horrible season due to injury put him back a bit, but when he gets back in the game all fit as afiddle, I bet he'll be a force to be reckoned with.
  11. My bad. Just checked my score card and I awarded both Thomas Gunnestad and Jarle Skjæveland 2 points in the 17th heat.
  12. Seems to be getting better. He did a decent GP last time, rode well for Dackarna in the Play-Outs and nabbed the Golden Helmet.
  13. I'm quite sure the general outcome would be the same as now even if all rounds were staged in GB or any other country in the world. These riders adjust and adapt to the circumstances, and to blame all but one track is to shift the focus over to where it should not be. One swallow does not make a summer, and had this been Harris' first or second go at the GP's, the situation could be different. But he has had chance upon chance and does not deserve a permanent WC. The same for Lindgren.
  14. This was a one-off race. The league was won by Drammen, with Grenland on second, Elgane third, Kristiansand on fourth, and Riska fifth and last. I don't have the results from the last two meetings. Other results can be found here
  15. Norwegian Team Champions 2011: 1 Drammen 2 Elgane 3 Kristiansand
  16. A grey and somewhat chilly day at Elgane, but as long as the rain stayed away, we were in for some good ol' racing. The hopes for the future were out on the small track with their micro bikes about an hour before the meeting, showing that there is still life in the sport Then it was time for the big guns, and the fun started. The Gunnestad brothers made sure that the gold went to Drammen, with good help from Bjørn G. Hansen. Elgane I got silver, despite a crash from Remi Ueland wich sadly fractured his knee. Third were Kristiansand. Drammen: 37 Elgane I: 30 Kristiansand: 21 Riska: 19 Elgane II: 12 Elgane I: Tage Skretting: 2,2,1,3,2,1 = 11 Mikke Bjerk: 3,3,2,2,3,3 = 16 Remi Ueland: 3,F,-,-, = 3 Riska: Tommy Thu: T,1,3,2,0,1 = 7 Jarle Skjæveland: 2,0,1,3,1,2 = 9 Stein Roar Pedersen: 1,1,1,0 = 3 Elgane II: Geir Ove Salte: 0,F,F,M = 0 Inge Bjerk: 0,T,2,2,1,1 = 6 Roy Kenneth Håland: 1,1,0,3,1,0 = 6 Kristiansand: Pierre Moen: 2,3,1,2,2,3 = 13 Tord Solberg: 3,2,0,1,0,0 = 6 Espen Hansen : R,1,1,0 = 2 Drammen: Lars D. Gunnestad: 3,3,3,3,3,3 = 18 Thomas Gunnestad: 3,0,2,3,2,2 = 12 Bjørd G. Hansen: 2,2,1,2 = 7
  17. Has been on the starting grid on every heat in the GP series, and that's an achievement in itself. A huge CONGRATULATIONS from Norway! Well done, champ!
  18. Last GP was horrible to watch. And only 4+1 for Dackarna on tuesday. I hope he'll heal up nicely, and produce some class A speedway again. I know it's a longshot, but I'm hoping for a wildcard next year.
  19. I know he has, but I still think he will pass him on points this year. Lindbäck has not cooled down after winning the Challenge, and is showing great form in the GPs and in Indianerna. He is only 7 behind. As for Holta, it seems he is finaly beaten by his injury, and I reckon he'll call it quits for the remaining two rounds.
  20. Don't know really. I believe Lindbäck is going to pass Lindgren, and even that Holta (allthough a horrible meeting at Vojens) is going to pass Harris. Lindgren is a lock for many, it seems, but why? He will need to pass Nicki at least to be in concideration.
  21. Here's to the Gunnestad brothers And is the final round in the championship. 1) Lars D. Gunnestad, Drammen 2) Thomas Gunnestad , Drammen 3) Jan Mikke Bjerk , Elgane 4) Bjørn G. Hansen , Drammen 5) Rune Sola , Riska 6) Remi Ueland , Elgane 7) Pierre Moen , Kristiansand 8) Inge Bjerk , Elgane 9) Robert Duncan , Trondheim 10) Roy Martinsen , Kristiansand 11) Tage Skretting , Elgane 12) Geir Ove Salte , Elgane 13) Tord Solberg , Kristiansand 14) Roy K. Haaland , Elgane 15) Tarald Haaland , Elgane 16) Remi Aas , Drammen For full heat by heat result, please visit Aktuell Speedway's homepage.
