  1. Found this on Youtube last night, great to see some clips from the forum plus hearing directly from the management. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hF5JeXSo3rU
  2. Sure Nielsen is already signed up for someone, Leicester I think. Swap for James Seargeant and that's a cracking team!
  3. Hopefully we have built in a good couple of reserves to next year's team. Could we take Barrett and Dyer with Edberg at 2? Would leave bags of points for strength up top with ashworth and a n other as a potent spearhead. Can't wait till Friday!!!
  4. Fairly recently there was a young untried Aussie who went to Kings Lynn as a reserve and ended up as number 1. Now Darcy Ward is widely acknowledged as one of the best riders in the world. I'm not for one minute suggesting that young Albin is on the same class as Ward but it goes to show that by taking a chance, anything can happen. Whilst many on here are deriding the decision to take Albin into the team for next season, let's get behind the lad and support him as opposed to writing him off before a wheel is turned.
  5. 1. Ricky Ashworth (8.84) 2. Tyson Nelson (5.33) 3. Kozza Smith (7.19) 4. David Bellego (5.27) 5. Seb Alden (7.58) 6. Micky Dyer (4.54) 7. Nicki Barrett (3.75) Total - 42.5
  6. If we were riding high in the league, would the crowds be any higher??? In all likelihood the answer would be yes. However as injuries have decimated our team for weeks, we find ourselves languishing towards the foot of the table, and the harsh reality is the crowds will be down as a result. So where do we go from here? The promotion are really going for it this Wednesday with the multiple promotions to entice people down on a midweek evening. The key question for me is whether any new fans will be impressed enough with the product as a whole to return at full price? Obviously this is impossible to say at this stage, and hopefully all will go well on the night in terms of great racing with little interruption.
  7. The fact that as soon as Dick Barrie mentioned the county ambulance has been called, a large number of fans made their way to the exit gate speaks volumes. Injuries cannot be helped, of course, but there is surely a better way of dealing with paperwork, transfers etc without having such an effect on the meeting?
  8. If Rickys injury is indeed a broken shoulder, that is surely season ending? Someone suggested bringing in a couple of seven pointers to replace Ricky and Klaus. Don't know how that fits with numbers but could be a great shout and giving us options for next year. Also would give us David at reserve, not a bad thing at all. Who was the young man Dick Barrie was hyping as someone to see in the demo rides? Also might be worth looking at Max Fricke who scored well on Friday at Edinburgh.
  9. Jakobsen was painfully slow last night, and his points have really been gifted to him. But again, who is out there to step in and replace? Micky Dyer is obviously on decent machinery, as proved by Nick Morris when winning heat 6 on his bike, and did look on the pace. Barrett got better as the meeting went on. Great to see Seb battling for points, all to often he has settled for points when slow out of the gate but some great passes last night. One question, are we continuing the guest policy for Ricky or will we be signing a replacement???
  10. Barker was the outstanding visitor to Berwick last year, only defeated by an inspired ride from our own Lee Complin but otherwise untouchable. I think this year will mirror Berwicks in recent seasons, good at home but poor away. Barker and Fish should be capable of keeping scores respectable plus if Boxall rides to his potential, you may spring a few shocks but midtable at best for me.
