  1. Also Tai Woffinden on the mic after the meeting saying “Ipswich Witches need to get on their broomsticks and f*** off back to Ipswich” was pure quality
  2. Just like to take this moment to thank every single hater and doubter of Sheffield speedway.. without you all we cannot prove doubters wrong and shut people up… you can all suck a big fat one!!!! As for Jason Doyle….. entertaining he may be, the bloke is dangerous and will end up killing someone if not himself if he carries on riding the way he does - disgraceful.
  3. Jim McGregor what an absolute phallus that bloke is, wants to be nowhere near Owlerton on Thursday and a replacement ref arranged ASAP.
  4. Better than big fat 0 from 4 rides Adam that’s for sure
  5. Faulty tyre yet comes out on Worrall’s bike, stop talking utter tripe
  6. Belle Vue bent the rules last year so Sheffield can do the same
  7. Kyle Howarth is staying and Jack Holder is not coming back this season. 2 changes being announced ASAP with Ellis and Kerr making way.
  8. Why would he want to go to Ipswich and have Richie Hawkins guidance? Blokes a drip
  9. Beaten by Peterborough for Laguta’s signature, who was the initial target due to Holders risk with his wrist.
  10. Didn’t expect the tears to come flooding from Ipswich, fair play lads keep wiping your eyes and blowing your noses
  11. Ellis gone, don’t think he’ll been seen in Sheffield kevlars ever again.
  12. Think it will be a close meeting all the way through this evening, I think Kemp and Nicol could be the difference for Sheffield though if they get going. 44-46 to Sheffield is my prediction.
  13. I agree. Worst I’ve seen the track for years.
  14. Nope, tonight was the first time he’s been to Owlerton. Only rider who has been practicing after meetings has been Cooper Riordan.
  15. For Nicol to come and ride like he did tonight was very impressive, especially to say he’s never even seen Owlerton before. The way he blasted round the outside of all 3 riders in heat 5 anyone would think he’d been doing it all season long, not the very first go at riding the outside line at Owlerton!!! He was very unlucky in heat 14 whilst looking like he was going to pass Vissing around the outside his primary chain snapped, glad he’s okay after the tumble. All round positive performance from all the Sheffield boys, onwards and upwards from now on.
  16. Personally I would stick Broc at number 2, this will take less pressure off him riding with Howarth and switch Kurtz to number 4. Feel like he will need to get a good few meetings out the way to get dialled in at Owlerton and British Speedway as a whole for that matter. I think Georgie Wood will hit the ground running tonight and score around 6/7 points for us. Dont agree with the negativity around the fan base at the minute, should always back every rider 100% in the team whether they’re new or old. 50-40 to Sheffield is my prediction.
  17. I genuinely think Shanes (as well as Wright) is the best thing to come to the club this season, think he will double his average. I’m probably being very harsh saying it to be honest with how disappointing it was... win, lose, draw as a team. On to the next one eh?
  18. Just saying, he should’ve beat Bacon and he didn’t? Don’t get so upset x
  19. As soon as the race finished I said it would cost us and it did. Shanes is a quality rider but I will stand by my opinion!
  20. Hate to say it but we should’ve used R/R tonight for Bates. Graversen looked totally out of his depth. Shanes last place behind Bacon in heat 12 cost us the win for me, no disrespect to Bacon but Shanes should be beating him, rode a terrible race. Fair result in the end though, Peterborough really are our bogey team at home.
  21. I'd be very happy with the team mention recently... 1 Howarth 2 Bates 3 Wright 4 Proctor 5 Bjerre 6 Smith 7 Wood Would probably arguably the strongest top 5 in the league and I think both Smith and Wood are more than capable of improving their averages. The fact he's close with the Bates family and lives around the corner from Owlerton you'd think it would be a no brainer for him (if we've approached him) LOL
  22. To be fair, Greaves bike did hit the fence once he had gone down and done a sumersault down the straight after turning his front wheel left onto Nicholls back wheel - thus resulting in him falling off and it being his own fault, which is why he was rightfully excluded!
