Ipswich V Sheffield Po Final 2nd Leg 30-9-17
Hooky replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
We'll all have to agree to disagree then... Also thought it was very gracious of the Ipswich promotion to allow the sheffield supporters on centre green to congratulate our riders face to face and celebrate with them. Was a nice touch. -

If nicholls had took greaves off he would have been excluded for it, it was bang infront of me and nicholls had passed him on the straight and greaves turned left onto nicholls back wheel resulting in him falling off on his own accord. Correct decision for him to be excluded. -

Currently on my way home from Ipswich, what a night!!!! To win the tie over 2 legs on aggregate and win at Ipswich showed we were the best team and are true champions. So proud, Josh Bates is some rider absolutely fantastic tonight. Only negative I can take from the meeting was the Ipswich fans booing Scott Nicholls, which I found absolutely disgraceful. He was there to do a job and earn a living and he did a brilliant one. Thanks to him for stepping in at last minute to guest for Grajczonek who has been the best rider in the league all season long. Now let's get the pairs and KOC won then get promotion!!!!😁😁😁😁 UP THE TIGERS!!!!! -
Sheffield V Ipswich 1st Leg 28/0917

I said Batesy would be the difference between a slender margin and a decent one tonight, and he was. The pass on Rory Schlein in heat 9 to retake the lead took pure guts and balls of steel, absolutely fearless! Hoping we can take a strong enough lead down to Ipswich to grind out the result. I will be there and in good voice, hopefully plenty of Tigers supporters will make the trip down to get behind the lads. COME ON TIGERS!!!!!! -
Sheffield V Ipswich 1st Leg 28/0917

Depending on how the 3 lads who had spills at Glasgow are feeling out on track tonight will be key in my opinion. If Batesy is feeling good I think he could be the difference between us taking a slender lead down to Ipswich or a big one. Keep the faith and get behind the boys tonight, show some true Yorkshire grit. COME ON YOU TIGERS!!!!! -

58-34 was definitely wishful thinking wasn't it? We went one better hehe -
I totally agree with this, as a sheffield supporter myself me and my old man couldn't quite understand why Graversen hadn't been excluded for being the cause of the stoppage? Maybe it took the ref by surprise though because it's not something you see happen every week haha!

Got 20 boxes of tissues ready to send up to Glasgow soon with all these comments

Very happy Sheffield supporter on my way home tonight!!!! Howarth, Lawson and Bates on a different level altogether. Let's hope Richard can score the same for Glasgow next week..... Up the Tigers

Edinburgh Vs Panthers - 11/08/17

Josh Grajczonek and Kyle Howarth......... -
Really impressed with the team tonight, solid performances by everyone. I'll be happy with Graverson scoring 7 every week, his efforts against Perry in heat 14 were worth the admission alone. Georgie Wood definitely has a lot of potential and much more to offer as his score didn't reflect his efforts. I'd also like to see Bjerre at 5 permanently, he's really hit some form recently! Think Cook was a massive disappointment tonight didn't look bothered whatsoever (for obvious reasons) and I thought Campton's score was very flattering too. Up the Tigers x

Your team was 3 points over the limit when you signed Harris, what more do you want?

Seems like fair respectful sportsmanship, fair play to him! -
Agree, JPB stepping down for me seemed totally like the wrong decision... 16 years of age with so much still to learn and he more or less threw his toys out the pram and gave up? The last meeting he rode for us which was Edinburgh at home in the KOC, I believe Howarth, Branford, Steady and possibly Grajczonek were all looking at his bikes and testing them on track. Seems like they clearly said there was nothing wrong with his equipment and it was just him. He should be kicking himself and wanting to try harder and be hungry to learn more and progress as a rider on a personal level in the Championship. I'd love to know whats happening behind the scenes about who we're bringing in, seems like a deal clearly couldn't be agreed between Shanes and Bates or he would have signed for us by now I reckon (hope thats not the truth though).

Sheffield V Peterborough 22/6/2017 7.30 Sgbcl
Hooky replied to Blackadder's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Got them the right way round? If you'd of watched the heat or even went to the meeting you would've seen that Bates and Howarth made better gates... The Showground didn't serve up any races like that on Sunday so it must be regular. And with something at stake Holder couldn't do what he does regularly on lap 1 and comfortably beat Grajczonek in heat 15 on Sunday could he? and Harris didn't do what he's done for all his career by never giving up and riding out as wide as the dirt and the air fence allows to pass Bates and join his partner... As you said, good but standard stuff for your boys, clearly happens often down your way until you open your eyes and wake up from la la land... -

I said Kurtz and Branford needed to step up and they did.. especially Kurtz looked a totally different rider to the last 3/4 weeks, looked much, much faster! Jack Holder is some rider, what a steal his average was at the start of this season. Haven't seen many riders go as fast as Grajczonek around Sheffield this year if not faster... I'd pay good money to see him flying round Owlerton every week. All in all happy with the result, thought it was going to be a lot closer than it was but I'm very happy with more important points for the Tigers!! -

Think this will go all the way tonight. Can see the Panthers getting a point at least. Kurtz and Branford HAVE to perform, performances haven't been good enough recently. I'll go 47-43 to Sheffield. -
Here's to hoping Shanes signs this week, he is an absolute steal on a 2.00 average and could probably be the ingredient the team is missing to push on and win some silverware. He was quality today at Peterborough and deserved even more points for his efforts.

I heard one of the security guards pushed Adam's Father, then later on Roynon confronted him and the security guard followed him from the pits and waited for him outside of the changing rooms. They are a complete joke and not needed.
