  1. Although I think the fans consortium is a good idea, and I'm sorry to pour cold water on it, the crowdfunding effort was supported by approximately 130 people, many of whom are not Diamonds fans/supporters so the chances of getting enough Diamonds fans to come onboard is very remote. Shame, but that's the reality.
  2. That smacks of being a good idea, careful!
  3. In the statement it says the crowdfunding was used up over two covid restricted meetings so even with increased attendances the promotion are losing four figures each meeting, that's clearly unsustainable. I wonder how much the 4.00pm start time has affected attenances but it's not looking good.
  4. According to the team declarations, Leicester only have 1 rising star and that's Dan's brother
  5. Rolling green sheet averages are effective from 28th of the month, this is an initial average which is covered by the seven day rule.
  6. This is not a green sheet average adjustment, It's on the 4 home/4 away rule for initial average assessment. he completed this on 18/7 and it's effective seven days after that date, which is today.
  7. Thanks Steve for clearing that up so It would appear that Dan isn't eligible to ride tonight. I hope someone at Redcar is aware of this.
  8. Technically correct, however, no use whatever in the context of this (not for the first time) apparent contradiction in the rulebook.
  9. So, to continue the discussion, as Thompson is no longer a reserve, does his rising star rating take precedence over his average?
  10. It also says effective 7 days after last qualifying meeting which was 18/7 so which is correct?
  11. Can someone clear this up please? Dan Thompon down as a guest at reseve for Redcar tonight. according to the Leicester thread, his average on the latest sheets is 6.05, the question is, when does this take effect? if it's today, then he can't ride at reserve.
  12. Good news about Adam, I just hope he's fit and isn't returning too early.
  13. Just looked at the Just Giving page and £4200 has been given by 87 contributors. As the average crowd at Newcastle pre-covid was considerably more than 87. If each of those supporters who have not yet donated anything gave 1 admission price the target would be reached easily. Just saying!
  14. I would assume that any development for a new track would have more than just speedway to generate income, kart track, bowling alley etc. which would provide permanent employment on the site and satisfy the authorities need for a financial and employment gain and assist in the running costs of the speedway.
  15. That's where they stored the rubbish during the dustman's strike, It's not suitable for housing and is about 20 acres.
  16. Would be interesting to find out if he jumped or was pushed. That's providing that he has actually left.
  17. Followed the link to the website, ok. but still no word on manager and sponsor which I would have thought would have been of a higher priority.
  18. Now nearly ywo weeks since Rob said he would announce the main team sponsors in ten days, our team manager has resigned and no replacement announced and the new website is still not up and running. Slighttly worrying with the season opener 5 weeks away!
  19. The statement said catering and hospitality so I assume they have the bar as well.
  20. I could murder a currwurst mit pommes, thanks THJ! Have a good christmas.
  21. Sorry, not involved in the organisation, you will have to contact the supporters club through facebook and ee if there are any tickets left.
  22. You can pay on the night, but must book your ticket in advance, this is so they do not exceed the numbers allowed in the function room and also to know how many they are catering for.
