Err no you didn't - we both won one - you won the Fours and we won the Pairs !
-
Rhys Naylor takes final spot http://stokepotters.co/news.php?extend.283
-
Pity I can't make it !
-
Yes I didn't like what happened to Ben, but how he reacted to it was amazing. Hope to be there on 24th, but will have to rearrange a few things and also need to earn a few brownie points with the Mrs first !
-
Not sure - he didn't do well at Loomer, but it was not good situation he was coming into - he crashed and after that wasn't really in the running - think he hurt himself at Mildenhall. With a bit of nuturing in the off season, he could have still be considered for one of the threes, but the fact he has not automatically been given a place either means he's been put off, or Mal has doubts.
-
The meeting to decide the final two places has been confirmed as Saturday 24 March - cutting it fine as usual !
-
Lol, no - just not sure who Mal and Tats will have their eyes on ! As Press and Practice has has been announced, we are expecting an announcment about the run off for the final two places later today.
-
Gutted, was looking forward to it - I assume the rearranged date will be mid week, otherwise it'll get too close to the season
-
It'll be good to see you again. If the offspring of a pig is a piglet, surely the offspring of a Chubby Cheshire is a chublet ?!
-
Perfect - wife is off out for the day, so me and the chublet can pop along for a good fix of speedway !
-
I agree with Roynon, if he can stay injury free - which unfortunately doesn't happen very often I would put Heeps higher up. What about Stevie Worrall too ?
-
Maybe, but that wasn't the case last year
-
Cheers Vog - hope they publicise it as I would like to go - need my burned methanol fix - as I'm not going to Telford this year
-
First home meeting 31/3 - that's ages No news on final 2 signings ?
-
I assume Mal is looking for 3s who will improve greatly - I certainly expect Ben to
-
He hit form towards the end of the season - I would expect him to add few points to his average next year
-
I had assumed Tony would be back, but on 7.84, that doesn't leave enough
-
Away riders rarely do look comfortable at Buxton - it's an unusual track - but when you get used to it, and he'll get plenty of practice. Reckon he'll be good for you.
-
Tim can't get round Buxton ? - I think you're mistaken - Buxton v Newport 5/9/10 Tim - 11 +1. Beat Craig Cook twice. Buxton v Stoke 1/5/11 Tim - 10 and he'll get better as he gets used to it - you've got a top rider there, wish he was still at Stoke !
-
I don't think Tim is over rated - he was pretty consistent scoring high points, until he wrote off two bikes in one meeting. Took him a while to adjust to his new machinery, but then injuries took their toll. He's also a good bloke who makes time to talk with the fans I'm not knocking Worrall though - he rode well for us and against us - glad to have him in the team, just sad it's at the expense of Tim/ James - my son's gutted they were his two favourite riders - but sadly that's speedway
-
I think the only survivors of this year's team will be Atkin and Pickard - they bigged Jaimie up at the end of season do and I was talking to Tats there and he more or less said Tony would be in if he wants to ride. Then again he also said he would sign Tim ! Ben Reade is a possible - fingers crossed. .... and Vog - you can never write Gaz out of the team ! There are rumours that Birks maybe headed our way - but his average is very close to Tim's.
-
Sarj also gutted not to be re-signed - I know we needed to reorganise due to the high averages, but I was not expecting Tim and James to be cut.
-
I'm really sorry to see Tim go, he's a good lad and a good talent, I know he's gutted. I hope he gets a ride soon as I know he's worried his high average will count against him. Also sorry to see Sarj go - when on form he is so exciting to watch.
-
That was the concern at Stoke, and I know that quite a few dropped out, but the crowds in the end were as good and often better - if its a case of NL or no speedway, for many that's a no brainer ! I have to say I have enjoyed the season - whether I'd be saying that if we had finished towards the bottom of the table (as someone has to) is another matter ! The riders have given it 100% and have been very approachable - hope to see as many as poss back next season.
-
I see after last night's results the Potters will finish top. Well done lads !
