  1. My experience has been that BT are worse money grabbing shysters than Sky
  2. I certainly do not see Scott as the panacea to Panthers team problems
  3. Whilst there has been anecdotal reports of the 6 point rule being overturned to my knowledge this has not been confirmed officially. The Mafia have of course adopted a ploy to fail to report or make public any decision which has gone against them, indeed in one instance they opted to pre judge a situation which could cause embarrassment .One could be forgiven for wondering if this is all part of the Mafia's determination to get their pound of flesh regardless.
  4. I would thought that the majority of this film is set prior to World War 2.
  5. The official site continues to be bang up to date , packed with every bit of the very latest news.
  6. Thank, she always claimed that he played the part of a Speedway Rider in the film. I knew he was in The Blue Lamp a film from which Dixon of Dock Green emanated
  7. My late mother" God Rest Her Soul" used to talk about a film about Speedway starring Jimmy Handley . I have never tracked it down, any ideas?
  8. In the far off days when Speedway could boast a multitude of stars Ian Williams the brother of Fred and Eric who did not reach the same heights, broke the Wembley track record during a second half event.
  9. Possibly after recent events those organisations further up the chain of command may be wondering if BSPA are fit for purpose!!!
  10. Never have so few got it so wrong so often to the detriment of so many
  11. Never have so few got it so wrong so often to the detriment of so many
  12. BT sport coverage is very good , but in my opinion as a company they are a bunch of shysters.
  13. Nobody has ever claimed that what you refer to as a hand out was vital just to keep things going. As it happens it was not that long ago that Ged himself claimed that there was no reason why Panthers should not return to the top flight at some point . Perhaps the tone has changed a bit now that the mafia are on his case. I also am convinced that majority of the remaining fan base prefer Premier league for some reason. Financially I also believe Ged when he says that Panthers have never owed money to anyone whilst he has been in charge.
  14. Unfortunately there seems little ambition from the Promoters or the majority of remaining fans to return to the so called top flight
  15. We are urged not to panic but that seems the only option at the moment
  16. That may well be the case but undeniably RF ran a successful business whereas those in charge of Speedway have overseen a steady decline in a sport that stumbles from crisis to crisis.
  17. Been away for a day or two and may have missed something but it all seem a right ruddy hames to me , As Rick Frost once said to me those running Speedway would struggle to even to run a Burger Van with any success
  18. Thanks that was what I was trying to say. As it happens I have had a DVD of "Once Jolly Swagman " for some time.
  19. Sorry not sure the point you are making.
  20. I have probably missed something here as I have not been through the whole thread, but the film in question was I thought filmed at New Cross.
  21. It is all so confusing. As far as I can understand the BSPA feel that the things Mr Godfrey denies saying and doing were all ok as they were in the best interests of Speedway
  22. Panthers fans care little about this which has been known for several months. As you say despite Ged being vindicated by ACU the Mafia continue with their petty retribution.
