Bloody typical, sun has been shining for the last hour but the rain was awful prior to that. Gutted. -

We will stick by our club but that's the thing, we have been "keeping our chins up" for seasons upon seasons. Apart from 2006 and 2011 we have had to watch our team getting beat consistently and have just had to put up with it. How long does it go on? Yes, we are glad to have a team but people who were once die hard fans are not even bothered about going any more, and that frightens me. -

Yeah I agree that a change is needed, and if Dimitri is to be out for a month or more then perhaps a short term replacement for him also. Every year when this happens I always believe that the promotion will make decent changes to make us more competitive but it never happens so I won't hold out hope. It's just really frustrating seeing a team that looked like it had potential before the start of the season losing so often, such an enigma. Will see what happens before next Sunday but I doubt there will be any changes and another thumping will be on the cards. I hate being so negative but we have been putting up with this for so long. -

We are really struggling with r/r for Dimitri, he is capable of so much more than the points r/r scored for him today. I really feel like a change and a replacement for Dimitri is needed if we are to have any hope this season. Too many riders are consistently inconsistent and even though we are used to getting beat, it really is getting to a point where people are completely fed up with it. Well done to the Comets, the better team won. -
Glasgow Vs Panthers - 27th April

What a great yet anxiety filled meeting! Glasgow finally looking like the team I thought they were capable of. Felt so good to get the win although that crash at the end looked awful, really hope Dimitri is OK as he really is something special. I agree that the score does flatter Peterborough a bit. I think Glasgow deserved all 3 points IMO but I'm just glad we have finally got a win under our belts especially after all the bad luck we had this afternoon. Hope to God all of the riders that crashed today are OK! -

LMAO excellent post George. Things are looking a bit more promising after tonight, looking forward to Sunday -
I'm not really clued up on the legislation to do with the visas etc but it did confuse me too regarding how long it took to confirm Joey's signing and what you said about the 2 year visa. I had thought it would have been the same situation as when Josh etc came over and had a 2 year deal. The whole thing is confusing me lol. I do hope, though, that Joey doesn't have any problems with obtaining his visa as I was glad we had signed him after waiting so long to hear news on what he was doing.
-
Just read the conversation again and there is nothing about Joey having to appeal. As far as it seems he has applied and is just waiting on a decision. The Speedway Star also printed that Glasgow haven't been in talks with James Grieves about a farewell meeting which is not true.
-
Someone posted on facebook that they have spoken to his girlfriend and that there hasn't been any issues with his visa yet, so why the worry?
-
Well I'm very happy with this team. Kevin Wolbert should do a good job. Theo is Theo and he is great for getting the team spirit going. Rusty had a bad year last year but I genuinely believe he can get back to the scoring level he was at a couple of years ago. I'm glad Mark signed for us, hopefully he will be happier at Glasgow and that will improve in his racing. I'm really excited about Dimitri, heard good things about him. Anders, on better machinery, will definitely put at least a point on his average. Joey showed such potential last year, especially at the end of the season, don't see any reason why he can't significantly add to his average. Happy tigers fan here!7 Bottom of the table my arse!!!!

Yeah lol, the real stew dickson wasn't to happy about it tho hahaha
-
Haha there's a "Theodore Pijper" parody account now too, I'm assuming made by the same person. I find thee accounts rather funny.
-
Good team but wouldn't like to see that happen to Rusty.
-
Yep I read somewhere that he is retiring but I don't believe that, he has too much potential. Could also be that he might not fit in along with another rider being sought
-
Exactly my thoughts. Really don't want another assessed rider, surely we have learned from this by now? SURELY? I have a feeling that the signing of Joey is not definite. Some have said perhaps VISA's could be holding up his signing but when the likes of Masters and Campton who failed to gain VISA last year, have subsequently managed to get them sorted by now for this year, then what would be the hold up in that department for Joey? Perhaps we are looking at another rider who would not allow Joey to fit into the team, and they are waiting to see the result of that first? And if that was the case then it would defo not be a 7pt assessed rider. Oh the possibilities
-
If we were to have a team of... Wolbert – 8.40 Bager – 5.30 Thomsen – 4.11 Harrison – 6.63 Pijper – 7.70 Ringwood - 3.56 Berge – 5.00 = 40.70 difference/wasted points of 1.80 I don't understand why anyone would want to build a team that much under the allowed limit.
-
Yep, pleeeease no no no more assessed riders!
-
If Ringwood could not be fitted in due to the other riders average being too high, which 3pointers (roughly) would u go for?
-
I have been wondering the same thing...
-
hahaha! VERY TRUE!!! Thanks George
-
Ahh yes, sorry I got muddled up because I had been making that same point earlier if we signed henning along with joey. Studying for my exams has totally fried my brain today haha. In that case I would still prefer vissing over wethers.
-
Would love vissing in the team. Its already been hinted by the directors that ringwood will be in the team so to add wethers on the basis of joey signing, we wouldn't be using our points efficiently.
