  1. If this is the end of Coventry speedway then my sympathy's are with the loyal fans.
  2. We have 5.13 left so I think Grondal will be at reserve unless the new foreign rider comes in on a 4.
  3. It just shows how poor our league is. The promoters had a major rebuild to do & they've got it all wrong IMO. Riders will be left on the shelf because of the ''new average ruling''. Kindt rides 4 premier league matches & can start the season on that average wherefore riders like Justin Sedgmen have to start on a converted 7.7 average, Sedgy averaged lower than Klindt in the EL last season. It's a complete balls up.

  5. Klindt struggled to achieve 5.4 in last years premier league. If he doesn't make the gate then that's it.
  6. Basically the league has been done on the cheap as clubs are unable to manage their finances. I can now understand why we wanted a higher points limit to start with, keep the best rider in the league who is given an average he can't mathematically achieve as one!
  7. No one knows how next season will go, it's a premier league at best for all teams. I think (hope) that the riders signed will have a point to prove, most young, upcoming, hungry riders. It may not be the car crash all are making it out to be.
  8. Glasgow are announcing a rider tomorrow morning, with the top 3 they have they will need a low averaged rider. That said, if Grondal is at Swindon then so be it.
  9. So both Grondel & Andersson could fit? Personally I'd prefer Patrick Hansen
  10. Mikel Andersson? Is that the Redcar kiddie? Mikel Andersson? Is that the Redcar kiddie?
  11. Cov complete (if they've a stadium) with Garrity, Kerr & Sarjeant
  12. I'm also fairly sure it won't be Lykke.
  13. Swindon made one change, Dawid Lampart for Robin Aspegren
  14. Why has a "Swindon chat" become a Poole thread? Gater1, I have a serious question for you? How long have you been watching speedway for? Based on your knowledge & ridiculous insight into the sport I'm guessing no more than 2 years?
  15. Yes they would & would allow 5 for the final team member potentially, can I ask where you've Lykke'a name from pls?
  16. I would worry about your own side love before judging others.... Wrong, he guested a couple of times a few years back. 1 meeting was good, the 2nd wasn't against a strong Wolves side
  17. The 1 good - a rider who's not been in the UK before perhaps? An upcoming foreigner?
  18. SIGNING | It's a big Robins welcome to French ace David Bellego! Full details later this morning. Stefan Nielsen won't be in the side. Taken from today's adver ""None of Greg Zengota, Peter Kildemand and Mads Korneliussen, as well as 2016 riders Justin Sedgmen and Stefan Nielsen, plus Somersets Josh Grajczonek and Rohan Tungate, will return to Swindon next year due the changes and Rossiter admitted: It isnt easy with the way the format is at the moment.""
  19. Dimitri Berge or Joel Andersson, if we sign Bellego that would suggest no Morris
  20. The rule i saw was any rider who averaged below 3 in the premier league last year will start on a 2
  21. FYI, we can still use the "old abbey" if required. That will not be knocked down until the new one is operational. The main buildings are being build offsite & bought onto site when required.
  22. Nieslen was bought prior to the new rules which may have now altered the clubs plans. They didn't expect Doyle to be 13.41, more like 12. The club have even said as much. This is why I think Nielsen maybe unfortunate & miss out. How do you know what options we do or do not have??? The next signing made will give us a better indication on the make up of our side. Sedgy has tweeted this morning about how difficult it maybe to get a team place & visa's etc, If he rides over here I can see him not in Swindon's plans for the season, Again, the causality of the numbers game.
  23. The club have tweeted that another deal is being worked on, my guess (and it's only that) is that it'll be a foreign rider who's not been in the UK before. A young Dane/, Swede or Pole. Personally I'd love it to be Patrick Hansen, was in Gdansk for the world U21 final this year, the kid has some serious ability at 18....
