  1. Very similar to the Twitter message. I think it is hard to try and read through the lines of what he is saying because he says Europe rather than Britain. Could it be he waiting to announce signing for a team in another country. I don't know, but I just don't see Dakota North riding at Sheffield, next season. .
  2. Looking at his twitter accounts he has said that he has sorted his riding for Europe, and that is all it says. In saying that I have a feeling that he will go full time Elite next season.
  3. Looks like Richard Hall will be the next Sheffield signing. http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/speedway/sheffield-tigers-simon-can-stead-y-ship-1-5291807
  4. If We have signed Dakota North I would prefer North/ Wells But if we have I think it will be more likely be. North/ Hall.
  5. The PA is a bit hit and missed at Sheffield, but the meeting against Leicester it was okay I remember been able to hearing what was said okay, and I stand at the back of the stadium on the 1st bend. I don't know what it is about Sheffield and Leicester fixtures, but they seem to be full of needle, in fact I would say that there is not another speedway team in the Premier League that creates that sort of atmosphere. But its fun and for the atmosphere the Leicester fixture last season was the most enjoyable than any other last season.
  6. Had a look and it just mentions Europe, which could mean Britsh Elite, Sweden, Poland, Czech and Danish.
  7. If its a Premier team then it can only be one club Sheffield. They are the only club that could fit him in their side.
  8. To be fair to Hoggy he did put together the 2011 team and that was the best and most entertaining Sheffield teams since the League winning team..
  9. Basically .....................................................................
  10. I think that you are missing my point. I am not saying that Ricky Wells is worth more money than last season. I am not saying that Ricky Wells is worth the money he is was on last season. I am not saying that Ricky Wells is worth less money that he was on last season. What I am saying is why do the club pursue a rider who stated last season that he lost money riding for Sheffield for one reason or another. Why do they offer him less money for this year. surely you know what the answer is going to be, why not look for alternative riders. The club has budget fair enough but why go for a rider who yuo simply cannot afford. And if reports are right Ricky Wells has not asked for a pay rise he has asked for the same money that he was on last season.
  11. Was in last weeks Speedway Star that Benji is looking to make a comeback.
  12. No I think we will eventually get a team together.
  13. Ricky Wells has not asked for the rise, he has said that if he was offered the money he was on last season. My question is why pursue a rider who has stated that he lost money riding for Sheffield and then ask him to sign for less money the following season. Simple economics says that the rider will turn that the deal down, whether he a foreigner or British. The club has a budget for a third heatleader and obviously Ricky was out of there price range so why pursue him.
  14. Where have I said that he is worth the same deal or more. I am asking why are the club pursuing a rider who said he lost money last season at Sheffield offer him less money than last season. Its not rocket science that he was or will turn down the deal. So as I said in the previous post if the club has a budget, why offer a rider a deal that it was obvious that he was going to turn down, to me it just seems a waste of time.
  15. Forget Sheffield finances for a moment and forget whether you think Ricky Wells is worth the same money as last season or more. Why did the Promotion approach him with an offer of reduced terms, after he stated at the end of the season that he had lost money riding for Sheffield, what did they think the answer would be. If we have a budget then fair enough, but why approach a rider with reduced terms from last season after he has claimed he lost money, why not approach other riders with those terms.
  16. I guess we will never know the whole truth, I am just hoping that they can come to some sort of comprise, towards the end of the season we start to see what he could really do..
  17. Whether he is worth it or not, why did Promotion go to rider who public states that he lost money riding in the Premier League last season and allegedly as we only have one side of the story less money. It just does not add up to me. ,
  18. Fair comment, but I don't understand why they offer the rider less money when he has stated in the press that he lost money at Sheffield last season, it does not make sense. I am not knocking the Promotion having a budget, it is the sensible way to go, you can only spend what you have. I don't know how many times you saw Ricky, but the second half of the season he got a lot better, and I think that we could see him make some rapid improvements next season. End of the day this is very worrying, we need something of a competitive team to try and attract the missing fans back, me I would go regardless who we have in the team, but there loads that don't think like that. .
  19. That is what I don't understand why approach a rider who clearly stated last season that he lost money riding for Sheffield and offer him a deal that less than the previous season.
  20. Or could he be prepared to wait further into the season until a rider get injured, or is sacked.
  21. That is what he has to consider, and it could be the reason why the Promotion have waited to offer him terms, safe in the knowledge that the only club that can fit him into their team. A lot could hinge on Wolves who have him lined up to ride as a doubling up rider would they be prepared to use him on a full time basis.
  22. I guess you are basing that on his early season form, towards the end of the season Ricky Wells form really picked up and was riding far better.
  23. I am not sure that I would want North. I maybe would go with Poole, but we would need a top heatleader to go with him.
  24. This is a real worry regarding Ricky Wells failing to agree terms with the club. We could look elsewhere and there is riders available but I cannot see other riders of the same standard but will they come for the same amount of money. The Promotion obviously have a budget and that is fair enough, but why approach a rider who has said that he lost money last season and ask him to sign for less money it just does not make sense. Hopefully Ricky and the Promotion can meet each other halfway, but it looks like this could be unlikely as Ricky states that he will only sign for the same money as last season. Where do we go if Ricky Wells does not sign who knows, I just don't see any of the riders who are left out there riding for the money that appears to be on offer at Sheffield.
  25. They have not signed a 1 to 7 yet, must admit that I am starting to get a bit twitchy regarding the team. I was under the impression that they were sticking with the traditional Thursday night. And now looks as though I have reason to be Ricky Wells is a rider that I wanted back at Sheffield I just hope that they can now do a deal. http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/speedway/i-m-not-greedy-says-track-ace-1-5266952
