  1. I also heard that they were both in attendance at the launch of Apollo 13........? And look what happened there..!!
  2. And don't forget all the rain offs, thats their faults as well....
  3. And, they didn't say, "see you next year" Just, "have a good winter" You only miss something , when it's not there...... .
  4. What I intend to do with the information, is remember it, that way I wont have to ask the question again! Thats all..... I am fairly new to this forum, and I suppose I should have trawled through all the posts/topics etc... but, avoiding all the aggressive, degenerate, spiteful and condescending comments got a tad boring, so thought I would just ask an honest, simple question, in the hope I got an answer from someone who had the quality of information I was looking for, simple really... And with that, I shall gracefully refrain from posting on this forum (actually, forum does not describe this place very well) until I have a query/question that I think will get an honest, genuine reply, which seem to be very few and far between all the point scoring, nasty, unnecessary responses, users of this forum usually write!!!! Ta ta for now!! (And I thought this might have been a less childish place than facebook!!!!!)
  5. Great, fantastic answer ro my question, definitely the most inteligent answer to the question I wanted info on. Thanks very much, I won't now need to ask the question again!!! Never to Old.
  6. Cov v Leic (12:00) & Leic v Cov (18:00) are both victims of the weather.... hope you have better luck!
  7. Had a close-up look at these bikes in the pits at Leicester on Saturdays MDLRC meeting... From what I saw, there seems an awful lot of wiring showing that could be vounerable to damage from water and/or crashing, would that lot be replaced by a single loom on an actual finished racing model? Also the radiator looks vounerable, just to stone damage? The bikes were ridden by Les & Aiden Collins who haven't lost there speedway skills at all and the bikes seemed to behave as you would expect a pro-speedway bike (on track) with a similar sound level to boot. They did ride them with rear shod short track tyres, which although very expensive (4 times the price of a speedway rear tyre) will last for around 10 meetings which makes tyre spend significantly reduced compared to traditional speedway rear tyres! I don't remember if any lap times were given out, as you don't hear so well from the centre green sometimes.. I think this experiment is worth continuing, but I also think the idea of running a lower league on bog standard, non-tuner touched speedway engines would also be worth exploring, as this would be easier to then modify/tune when stepping up to a higher echelon of speedway....
  8. What a silly statement!!!!!! If the Elite League (top league) wasn't there, the premier league (2nd league) would then be the top league.....!!!!!
  9. [quote name=The Abbott' timestamp='1380202301' post='2351750' http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/business- english/c2de So, no posh g**s so speedway anymore, just us bottom feeders???? Thats an outrageous statement!!!!
  10. Have you seen the programme trailer yet? Honest, it you as much as half blink, you'll miss it!
  11. What are C2DE viewers? A new one on me!! Must be some sort of acronym?? Never to Old
  12. Right atcthe beginning of the trailer, for around 0.677 of a second, I am sure a punters car is being driven around a track.... possibly E.O.E. Showground....!! Great bit of speedway advertising! ! I wonder of Stop Speed, er Go Speed I mean know?? Must be some sort of royalties being missed there!!!
  13. Hi, how much does a second hand, in good condition with NO repair welds right side footrest cost? No spindle bolt or spring/small bolt/circlip needed? Pref Antig ot AW Cheers Never to Old.
  14. Perhaps someone "in the know" would like to have a go at explaining this issue... If Belle Vue were given the option to use the covers for this TV sceduled meeting and declined to use them, for whatever reason, it needs explaining to the paying public. ..
  15. Hmmmm, sounds like the compulsory Brit at reserve rule could get really abused and manipulated..... difficult unless the ruling is on a purely age basis... and not time in the sport.
  16. Adam Roynon seems to be a crash magnet, cannot believe the number of crashes that poor lad has been involved in....
  17. Has this always been the case? (Engines from factory just bits in a box) when purchased? Or is this a relatively recent scenario? Cheers Never to Old
  18. Phil, can you clarify why the covers were NOT used for this meeting? (Belle Vue v Poole) Thats if you know and I've missed the answer to this query in any other related post...... Cheers Never to Old.
  19. This has been pushed by fans you know? Having a Brit at reserve.......... compulsory rule change.. So what happens when the british reserve rides himself into the team, and he's the ONLY british rider in that team???? I say again. ... what happens then with the "Having a British rider at reserve" rule request???? Cheers Never to Old
  20. Anyone remember when "RICKEEEE" from Eastenders became a speedway star overnight with the "Walford Lions"!!!!!! Quality!
  21. Hmmmmm... Could it be that that riders of different abilities, but near enough equally quick bikes are racing in the same confined space? The lesser ability riders are not able to "get out of jail" when put there by man or machine? What do you reckon..........
  22. I don't I'm afraid have answers..... not yet anyway. You have any idea's chap?
